RE: Re-Thinking Singapore Writing

in #writing2 years ago

You really represent those who think what to do to respond to the changing times. Especially how Asian people must carry themselves and prepare themselves to continue to compete in the struggle of the world culture war.
I think you are an anthropologist Mr. @cheah

In my area there are also many bookstores which are getting quieter and the books are getting covered in dust. Almost never touched again, we also see the same thing in public libraries whose doors are increasingly being locked by the manager.

While on the other hand, our children are increasingly opening their gadgets or androids but not reading books. Before opening online bookstores, they were "forced" to open advertisements that were not of high quality or even taboo for them.

Then, what should we do? I totally agree with your opinion about many things in your very quality writing in this post of yours. You comprehensively discuss it in depth. Thank you.

My note is that parents or anyone who is responsible for children's education must provide assistance when they surf in cyberspace. Otherwise, they will go astray and our culture will lose its way and eventually we will all lose out in an increasingly violent "world war".
