Lupega wiped his mouth on his sleeve and blinked his eyes, “Aye…I do feel relaxed, in fact…my eyes are a little fuzzy!”
“Haw-haw! Guid!” Hack chuckled, “Noo ye come wi' me son, we’ve got a wee procedure tae dae.”

[On the Silverton…bridge deck…]
As the gentle river current splashed softly along the hull and with the bridge deck lanterns all glittering along the rails, a surreal scene began to unfold. A growing group of officers were gathering as word passed quickly through the ship that Warrant Officer Hack had been given charge of the bridge.
“Show and Tell time…” Commander Kerrislravenhill whispered to Commander Galligan who stood next to her, his arms folded on a stoic manner.
“I’ve seen it all before…” Galligan replied in a low tone as he turned and spat over the rail, “It isn’t pretty…”
On the port side of the bridge stood officers Trumpman, Kevmcc, Bitcoinman, Trayan and Tamaralovelace. There faces were pale as they stood whispering among themselves...
“Hi guys...” Standing Officer Trayan whispered as the others gathered in a line beside him, “What’s happening?”
“No idea…”Standing Officer Bitcoin whispered back, “Look, here comes the old man and he’s bringing Lupega up!"
With no welcoming address, Warrant Officer Hack made his way up the portside bridge stairs, guiding Cockpit Mate Lupega by the shoulders with a firm grip.
“Oot o’ th' way ye gawkin' pigeons!” He barked as he shoved his way through the group and stood near the stern deck rail.
Turning Lupega around away from the officers, he attached the shackle chain to one of his wrists, passed it over the gambrel bar and then secured it on Lupega’s other wrist with a clank!
“I'm in first place, I love it!” Lupega said in a drunken stupor.
“Aye ye ur Laddie!” Hack jested as he took one last drag on his cigarette and then flicked it over the stern rail. Then, glancing over at Warrant Officer Trumpman, he nodded and said,
”Take heem up!”
“Let’s go! !pimp” Trumpman exclaimed as he began pulling hard on the gambrel line.
Immediately Lupega was swept up off his feet and swung in a low arc over the stern rail and out over open water! With his feet dangling and his arms stretched upward on the taut shackle chain he looked like a man on a hangman’s scaffold!
“My shipmates are very busy buying Christmas presents!” Lupega shouted out in delirium, “They might get us something, I'm very optimistic, you know that! Hahaha!”
Suddenly, Petty Officer Tamaralovelace called out in a painful voice,
“Lupega- I have faith in you!”
Ignoring the plead, Hack gave his order in a stern voice,
”Drop heem!”
