Who To Follow (WTF!) Daily - 10 ways to earn money on Steemit

in #wtf7 years ago (edited)

Saying that you are here for the money is something nobody wants to hear from you. You should be here to enrich your fellow Steemians with great and amazing posts, entertain us with your humor and make friends.

The fact that you have signed up for getting rewarded for your blogs and thus earning money is something you should not mention, to anyone, ever. As long as it is on Steemit anyway. If you are telling about Steemit to outsiders please tell them all about the trending posts that earn 1000 SBD a post, tell them all about how easy it is to make money and please tell them that Steem will be worth at least 10 Dollars by the end of the year. Sell it!

But seriously, we all are here one reason or another. And we want Steemit to grow so that it can flourish. The more the merrier and the truth is, the more people actually want Steem the more likely it will be that the price of Steem will rise. So in a way we all are here because we can earn at least some money in one way or the other. And let me tell you; There are loads of different ways to earn money on Steemit.

Today I've combined my "Ten things" with the WTF Daily. So I present to you:

Here's a few moneymakers which you will be looking at right after this post:

  1. The first way that you control all by yourself: Post good content. I can not stress this out enough. If you write good eventually you will be discovered. But you'll need to help destiny out a bit. Go and spread the word. Network, join other new writers and filter out those one day flies. Find people whose name you see more often than others. Write down other authors, follow them, engage with their content. Even if you are not seen by the author themselves, their followers and other participants on their comment section might reply and you'll gain a new follower now and then. And the more active followers you have the higher the number of upvotes you'll get. You'll earn SBD, Steempower and Respect.

  2. Follow curation trails on Streemian. Curation is a different game and needs to be taken seriously. If you are planning on earning from curation alone then you cannot do this without following a curation trail. Maybe later on when you have found some other authors with home you created a group of some sorts you might want to stop the curation game. But I can tell you that in the beginning you need to follow a Curation Trail because you simply don't know who you should upvote to get good curation rewards. Once you have grown to a certain amount with a vast amount of SteemPower you might join other trails but for the beginning start with mine. It seems like a strange suggestion but as some of you might know I am a curator for OCD. And we upvote posts that will be upvoted by the bigger public after we have visited them. This means you will be among the first ones to actually upvote a posts before it hits big. Thus resulting in higher curation rewards for you. You can follow my trail via Streemian - Services - Curation Trail - "Cem" (Either search my name in the searchbar or look at page 4 of the trails) You will get Steempower as a curation reward. The more the better, right?

  3. Engage with @OCD if you feel your posts are undervalued. But be sure to follow either OCD and reply to our OCD Daily posts or follow and engage with our Curators. You can find the list of our OCD curators on @OCD. You might see that we look for the hidden gems in the Steemit Underworld. Posts that are past a certain age that will not be found without our help. Eventually our team of 18 curators will decide which posts will make the daily top 5 but rest assured, all the entries (max 18 a day) will receive some love from us. At this moment getting selected to the daily post will result in extra rewards of approx 50-70 SBD per post.

  4. If you feel you can't wait for OCD and think you might be eligable for a visit by Curie you might want to get their attention. There is one way that I know of: Via Streemian. How does it work? First, you can't propose your own URL. Thats a big no no. Further, you can't have a reputation higher than 53. Also your post may not exceed 5 SBD in payouts before submitting and your posts need to be at least 2,5 hours old. The also have several other different rules which you might check on their page @Curie. If you get hit by Curie it will result in a reward of approx 200-300 SBD

  5. Steemvoter Guild. If you use Steemvoter you might have noticed that mark saying "Guild". Well, you can propose a Post on their daily Steemvoter Guild Nominate a friend. If you gather enough upvotes, or if your upvotes to the daily most valued upvote you'll win and you'll get hit by a Steemvoter Train of upvotes. About 3000 of them. As long as you keep yourself within the boundaries of their guidelines you should be good. After the train hits you your post will be worth approx 300-500 SBD. If you like this post I don't mind getting an upvote on this comment. You will reward my friend @kralizec for nominating me and you'll give me the chance to win. Check it here: Comment on Steemvoter Guild Page

  6. @Booster This is the new and improved version of Randowhale. It basically works like this: If you send 6 SBD to Booster and I send 4 SBD to booster you will get a 60% upvote and I will receive a 40% upvote. I tend to use it now and then. Booster recharges 2.4 hours and is ready to upvote at 100% every cycle. The rewards depend on how much of the shares you have acuired but I must say, they have never let me down so far.

  7. @Randowhale Is around a long time and is one of the most used "bots". Unfortunately HF19 kicked this whale in the nuts and his power has been reduced a bit. But nevertheless, if you have 2 SBD to spend on him to upvote your post, you should definately try it. It will result in a certain % upvote ranging from 5 SBD to 30-40 SBD. You simply transfer 2 SBD to @randowhale and put the post you want to be upvoted in the memo. Thats all.

  8. @Minnowbooster again, another upvotebot that will give a certain return on investment. If you plan on using Minnowbooster make sure to check the votingpower before you use it. If the power is below 20% you probably will not get more than what you have invested. If it's higher however you might get a freakingly good Boost.

  9. The marketplace. You can sell and but SBD and Steem there. If you have a keen eye and knowlegde about markettrading then this is the place for you. You can earn big time if you are good. But beware, you might also loose alot if you don't watch out.

  10. Become best friends with a Whale :D If you get one of the whales to give you a decent upvote you might be rewarded with a 300 SBD upvote. But don't count on it. Most whales vote at 1% so that they can vote hundreds of times a day. That's because they follow certain curation trails. So before you start crying about how the top owns the biggest power, they are doing their part. Just be patient and you'll get noticed. If you want to find out who the whales are I'd suggest looking up the top 500 people on Steemwhales.com. Good luck!

I hope you enjoyed today's WTF edition. If you follow these 10 ways to earn money you'll see that within a short time you will be rewarded and can start helping others like you.

OCD

I want to conclude today's WTF Daily with a special word for @OCD. If you are on Steemit and believe you have good quality content but feel it's underrated feel free to contact me or any of the @OCD teammembers. If you struggle with getting the right attention we might be able to help you out. If we find your post of high quality but you haven't gained any attention in the form of upvotes and rewards we will take your post into consideration. Internally we then will decide which posts will make it to the daily top 5.

We delibaretely search for Gems that are forgotten and we feel deserve extra attention.

Cheers y'all and Steem ON!

Great post as always. Very informative. It's always nice to see someone who puts time and effort to help those who struggle getting seen.

So much information to take in but needed the help so thanks a lot. I'm still getting into the steemit vibe, could you possibly tell me the benefits of resteeming posts? Is it like retweeting because you appreciate it?

Exactly. If you upvoted a post you get more people to upvote it by resteeming it thus resulting in bigher curation rewards for you 😎 you help yourzelf by helping others. Isnt that great?
