Mass Adoption - response to Nasdaq article

in #xrp6 years ago

Just an opinion based on what i see happening/ what ive used. For the average person the best projects i see right now are Pundi X (weird name but yea), Tron, XRP... and BTC -_-" just because. not financial advise blah blah blah...

If you live outside the "First World bubble" the barriers to entry are very different, and the rules are different. People talk about mass market adoption as if its going to be the USA only, China only, Europe only etc

Idk how many people saw the demo of the PundiX smartphone, decentralized messaging, buying/ selling crypto on the fly.. as a first model and proof of concept this in my opinion is a great step for mass adoption, in addition to their point of sales machines, it just simplifies so much for businesses worldwide.

Tron, everyones fav "scam coin"... with their BitTorrent acquisition i was confused by it. But they're planning to use Torrenting (seeding) as an incentive to receive crypto (project atlas). Sure there is the argument about pirated content, but lets think legal use cases first (reliable Linux downloads, dedicated servers getting paid by the community for seeding), if you've tried uTorrent web with their streaming content youd see a possible future where bittorrent could rival the likes of Netflix and ALLL these other streaming services, you could have original content etc etc. Sounds like a pipe dream but if you've used an app called GuildChat where they have a wallet/ pouch built-in you kinda get a sense of how it could work.

XRP, everyone's favorite Bankers coin, not a cryptocurrency, not decentralized blah blah. The fact is as an average customer (mommy and daddy, aunty and uncle, not involved in the space... who dont want to use their retirement money, they worked 30, 40 YEARS!! for) XRP allows "use" of the tech without much/ any risk. So whether you use a banking app, ripple app, etc. to transfer money, who cares if you receive your funds and its a lot faster and cheaper. Sounds like mass adoption to me.

People are still gonna use cash, credit card, etc.. until more terminals, devices come on stream. Knowing the answer and implementing it... yea.

Pundi, Tron, XRP seem like they have the clearest and most realistic vision/ implementation. im sure the other 2000+ chains have valid purposes too.........

Agree with PundiX, not keen on the other two

lol ok.
There are others cryptos of course, but Ripple definitely knows what's to come. And Project Atlas is gonna "revolutionize" 🙄 torrenting imho. Getting paid to seed
