Have you ever tried Yoga?
☯️What is it?

Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines that originated in ancient India.

The main parts of the practice are postures (a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility) and breathing.

I (Lavinia) discovered Yoga for myself during the first Lockdown period in 2020. I was searching for a good way to stay fit and so I started doing Yoga with guided Youtube videos. But Yoga is not only good to stay physically fit. The biggest effect that it had for me was to align my body with my mind and my breath.


☯️Is it for everyone?

There are so many different types of Yoga that there is the right Yoga for basically everyone and every situation. It can be practiced in a way to get a lot of strength or flexibility or to become calm and focussed in a more meditative way. People that are not used to exercising or sport activities can start easy and slow to get used to it. The idea is that everyone can explore their own limits and slowly expand them.

You can’t lose by trying new things. Look for a good online guided yoga video and just start. And another good thing, you don’t have to buy expensive equipment in the beginning. A carpet is just fine and everyone has some comfortable clothes at home.
Maybe you discover something new about your body and mind.
