Greetings to all my friends, I hope things are doing great to all of you members of steemit’s community, platform that without a doubt have been instrument to make things happen, be it as a mean to express our dreams and goals, or as witness of our progress, and as much it help us individually, it can also let us help others, so I would like to invite you to participate and demonstrate once again that steemit offer endless possibilities, by helping us reach to those beyond steemit.

Let’s gift smiles to the children of the Hospital “Israel Ranuarez Balza”

With the help of @antoniomontilva, @allinone13, @acaa7 and @laflacasings we want to reach to the children residents of the Hospital “Israel Ranuarez Balza” on San Juan de los Morros City, located on the Guarico state in Venezuela, to bring them an enjoyable and different day to try our best and put a smile on their faces, but also to bring all the support we can to them in the form of medicines and food, essential items that have become more and more scarce or otherwise unaffordable for most of the Venezuelan population.

For those that are unaware, the health sector in Venezuela along with the rest of the country it’s on a critical condition, there are shortage of medicines and other supplements on all the hospitals of the country, which has a very serious impact on the population of Venezuela along with the hyperinflation that been hitting us, so with all of this in mind, we want to ask for a helping hand to steemit, not only the users I quoted above and the other people that isn’t part of steemit that will be helping with this initiative , but a helping hand to the children population of the Israel Ranuarez Baza Hospital.

Now let’s talk about a bit about the project itself.

-Who are we?-

We are a group of third year students of medicine faculty of the “Rómulo Gallegos” University, located on San Juan city.

We aren’t just a couple of inexperienced students who wants to randomly help, this wouldn’t be the first time we as a group have decided to take upon our hands to help the community around us, we were able to do a few small activities and donations to a couple of old folk’s nursing homes here in San Juan city, as well as some health knowledge awareness campaigns and talks in the past.

-What do we want to achieve?-

Bring a bit of joy! Although the main effort it’s to locate, acquire and donate essential medicines, supplies and food to ensure a healthy recovery, we also want to do a small activity to cheer up the children we want to reach to.

The activity is planned to be on March 14th, the permits are in place, we have the permission and full support the hospital’s director, and we have been working on getting donations in place from our own group, other students as well as anyone willing to hear us and help.

We want to:

Make a donation of supplies and food for the children of the Hospital Israel Ranuarez Balza.
Perform recreational activities that restore the spirit of children in the Hospital.
Make donation of small combos appropriate to the needs of children in the Hospital.

-What do we need?-

Although we already have more than enough motivation, from what we could gather with the interview with the Hospital’s director and our own query with the doctors who work on the pediatric emergency wing and the pediatric floor, these are the medicines and supplies we would like to acquire:

Vitamins, vitamin B complexes, Polyvitamins.
Macro and Microgoteros.
Antibiotics such as: Third generation cephalosporins / cefadroxil / Ampicillin / Amoxicillin / Azithromycin.
Stool and urine collectors.
Physiological solutions 0.9 / 0.30 with dextrose / Kcl solution.
Yelcos No. 24.
Acetaminophen.
Diapers
Baby clothes
Food supplements (formulas for infants under and over 6 months.
Nebulization masks.
Proteins such as chicken or meat to make protein supplements.
Fruits, food.
