Here's the replay of the 5th YouAreHOPE Transparent Town Hall, now finally returning to a weekly format, but moved to Friday nights, and no longer on Tuesday nights. Tuesday night just wasn't working out for my schedule and I missed several weeks after returning from my six country world-circumnavigation steem meetup trip back in March.
I apologize for missing so many weeks, nearly a month, but was always available and accessible to the community during that time in the YouAreHOPE community discord, of course.
From now on, I commit to keeping the weekly open community discussions going on the air, and they are always well attended by concerned and charitable steemitizens, so I am thankful to you for all of that.

I thought this was worth doing. The world needs to see that we are doing GOOD here amidst all the trash on the trending page. I used bots as you know, and I'm proving a point with them right now.
This might be one way to save the trending page.
Kind of my primary goal is to show that if you want to survive in this environment, you have to play with the tools of this environment. I was never all that anti-bid-bot anyway, as I am a FIRM anarcho-capitalist and voluntaryist, and frankly, jealous whiners aside who haven't been able to become successful enough in life to use them, themselves, the bid bots are a free market economy construct engaged in at all levels by user's voluntary activities, be it operating one, funding one with delegations, or voting with them. And all of that is allowed in a dPOS based chain and our code.
VOLUNTARY, FREE MARKETS are what are in play here, and SHOULD be.
This is how the game is played here. Don't like it? Don't play. No amount of wishing markets worked otherwise is going to work. Otherwise socialists would win and starve us ALL to death.

It was another superb Transparent Town Hall I throughly enjoyed it, and I like the new Schedule Friday nights are now jam packed all the way with great shows on SteemStarNetwork.
I fully appreciate what you have done to get this to trending, Charities need funding to do good works - and that can only come one of two ways - putting your own money in or getting support from outside. I know @youarehope get's so much community support..but it could have so much more - I really do not understand why Steemit has so many who could upvote these posts massively - yet they don't. No cost in upvote and sharing, it's not like you can miss @youarehope it's all over Steemit.
You have made an incredible difference to the lives of so many struggling in the worst conditions in the poorest regions of this planet, this tireless effort is something we should all support however we can.

I don't understand it either. All I can assume is that the small minds behind some of the big money don't like ME, so they the leave the world's most suffering people in the most distraught of situations, like all the orphanages we've worked with in Venezuela for example, to cope along with the wonderful and heartfelt generosity of minnows and plankton, rather than lending a hand here.
Then again, isn't that always the way? The rich get richer and the poorest do the most for each other?

Really great initiative team, literally your work reflects the real meaning of the line as "We belongs to one family and that is Humanity", and helping those people who are lacking the basic needs, can give them new hope and in my opinion there are less people who believe in true development of the human beings because the greed is increasing and the next thing is greedy politics which is suppressing the humanity. In our lives, we will often see that someone has been wronged. This happens both professionally and socially. Many people who deserve recognition don't get it. By starting to fight and making sure that others get what they deserve, we become real heroes. We are thus making a lasting impact on their lives and will be rewarded with love and help in the future when we need it. Karma's law says, " whatever you do, you'll get three times as much back." In this sense, helping others is selfish, but it is still a good thing that we must do without fear, with love and with the knowledge that someday we will be rewarded for it. Helping others brings prosperity and happiness to our own lives.

Although I may not agree you with 100% on the Bot thing, I totally appreciate what @youarehope is doing. Keep on keeping on. You're rocking it. my man :)
For YAH, this is basically a one off. As to bot disagreement, you may not like them, but it's not even my opinion that it's an unfettered free market economy at work. That's just a simple fact, and I'm a HUGE fan of unfettered free market, voluntary economies. 100% of the time. It' is the MOST fair way for things in life to work, not the other way around, as people who generally don't do well in such economies would claim. Why they don't do well in these economies has reasons that abound, but unrestrained potential beats regulated unfairness every single day.
Note, I accidentally posted that as YAH, and want it in MY own words so the comment I just removed was this one, verbatim, from the wrong chrome window ;)
As Cork's witness partner, I find myself at loose ends over the bot issue, because I don't like them, either. However, the market demanded them, so here they are. I'm working on other initiatives to try and bring organic curation back into play. But in the meanwhile, I do support Cork's decision to bot this post to the top of trending, because Steemit is hemorrhaging users and new signups are down by 50% between March and April. I think part of that has to do with what people see when they're directed to to the trending page and it's the first thing they see. So yes, I'm all for putting some of Steemit's heart on trending--the communities, the philanthropic initiatives--the good news, in other words. Not just our dirty underwear. LOL I hope to see more posts like this one parked on top of trending in the days to come.
As a pragmatic plankton that believes that upvote bots are the ruination of this platform and destroy the dream of its creator, I concur with both @sircork and @rhondak. So let me leave this for All the commenters...

WOW! You and your teams on the ground are doing fantastic work! You brought up interesting points about helping groups vs helping an individual with the same amount of steem. It is difficult to turn down a person in need and I'm certain you do want to help, but you have a mission and you stand by it. It's tough for the individuals, but I hope they will come to understand in due time.

People always understand when i tell them our mission and usually end up becoming supporters even if i turn away their less than desperate or scaled up needs sometimes. I would love some disussion on the site, i can tell you specifically what i have in mind, with examples, there is a fantastic not-for-profit theme i used last time and I had even built steem donating in, then i creamed it oops, i might have it local but ive not had time in months to look. thank you so much for listening!
I used to have an external website for @hyperfundit.com, but google analytics showed me that traffic was at best 10% of the views I get on my steemit account.
Thus, I had a ridiculous idea of moving the website to steemit so that it can get the same kind of exposure as my steemit posts.
Since the move last week, I launched one campaign post and the results have been better than I imagined.
Also, little benfits like saving on server fees and maintainance.
There is a huge flaw though, a major downside is that there are only 7 days to make an edit. After the 7 days, if anything needs to be changed, the whole website needs to be reuploaded. Depending on how your website functions, whether it's informational or dynamic, this may or may not work for you.
If it works in your favor and you want to do it, the only thing I'll need is a layout of your website with images and the text that comes with each page. I can preview with my own account and copy the markdown into a series of word docs, which I would then send to you and you can upload it without ever having to hand the keys to me.
Give it some thought and let me know if you'd like to do this. I can set it up for you within the week, no charge. I just wana help the cause! :D

That's pretty interesting and I see what you did there, but that's not exactly what I was looking to do. I had a very elaborate website, that was pretty much world class and held it's own against those of major international charitable organizations, including as mentioned elsewhere, integration with payment of steem or sbd for donations and carrying both feeds from the youarehope blog here as well as accommodating publication of new blogs on both website and steem simultaneously from its control panel as well, using wordpress as a framework.
While the YouAreHOPE Foundation is indeed, exclusive to steem, our intention is to be a world class scale charity and the limitations, as well as the "professional image" of choosing to be only published here, doesn't scale to where we intend to go.
I'm going to have to try and resurrect what I had. I just found a forgotten and out of date database dump from that project in my google drive that will help me accelerate resurrecting it. I think I am going to take that route first, or just rebuild it from scratch, it made the united way and the world hunger fund websites look absolutely amateur in comparison, if I do say so myself, but then, I've been creating various web applications for nearly 20 years of my 35 year tech and software development career.
I super appreciate the offer, and I really need to get into what you are doing with @hyperfundit as well as what @jerrybanfield is doing with @fundition. Both of which are probably things @YouAreHOPE should probably support, given the nature of them and us. We've done well for the last 10 months, serving thousands of desperate people around the world, but avenues to expand on that operationally are always worth investigating.
Now I'm embarrased I asked lol, but yes your vision does sound elaborate and exciting! I'll keep an eye out for the site launch!
