Velo Finance is a decentralized exchange (DEX) that allows digital assets to be traded automatically and permissionless by using liquidity pools instead of a traditional market of buyers and sellers (Order book). Initially, it will launch on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), but will also be able to run on several other networks in the future including Ethereum and our own Evrynet Chain.
For trading mechanism, Velo Finance uses a combination of Automated Market Maker (AMM) and Dynamic Market Maker (DMM), an all new protocol developed by Kyber Network. We decided to incorporate DMM as when compared to the traditional AMM model used in most other DEXs, the DMM made an improvement that allows flexible fee adjustment and dynamic pricing curve setups.
This dynamic fee approach helps reduce the impact of impermanent loss and optimize capital efficiency.
With the combination of AMM and DMM, Velo Finance aims to bring a greater trading experience for all traders.
As mentioned, Velo Finance is currently built on top of Binance Smart Chain (BSC). The main deciding factor why we have chosen BSC is that it supports smart contracts and has a low transaction fee (around US$ 0.15 per transaction). Overall, BSC is quicker and more cost-efficient for users to move their funds and interact with smart contracts.
The following section outlines the key features of Evry.Finance.
Unlike centralized exchanges, users on the platform do not have to share their personal data in order to execude trade on the platform. Evry.Finance is decentralized and will not hold the users' funds and users will have complete control over their assets i.e. no counterparty mistakes.
