Reza Shah Pahlavi was the last ruler of Iran. He was a friend of the West who took his nation on a path of rapid modernisation.

For a variety of reasons, his popularity amount his subjects plummeted, and he was deposed in a revolution that created an Islamic Republic. This video examines his rise and the reasons for his fall. If you enjoy modern history, you will love this.
