Yeah, that is pretty true! My wife's mother grew up during the Blitz in London during the second world war. She has fond memories of hiding in the tube station during the bombing raids and playing on the rubble of blown up houses.
I tried to write so it could apply to any time period, I can’t imagine what it would be like to have memories of that
