Zen is not a method to be applied to "reach" a state of spontaneity, of non-effort. It is not possible to apply oneself in order to achieve non-application.
Zen is what remains when all the "Zen" paths, all the methods, have fallen and the naturalness expresses itself without a knowing, without knowing itself.
