The only one I've supported financially is Zorin, though I can't justify the $48 price tag they want these days. I think distros should be paid for support, not software. But the more capitalistic linux becomes, the more comanies support it
thats just how capitalism works for absolutely no reason. I'd say 20$ is a reasonable pricetag for me, though I dont wanna pay 20$ for every single computer I own.
I remember back when they wanted just 10 euros for the ultimate edition, haha. They had a load of different SKUs too... Most were fluff, really, in all seriousness, and it's good they dropped the amount to one or two paid editions. They had, let's see...

That was simply way too much for a 2-person effort.
The very last version to have all of the SKUs was version 7 I think. Starting with version 8 they got rid of Multimedia, and it marked the last release which had the Gaming version (which was released for free, as a sort of "last hurrah"). 9-onwards got rid of every edition except Ultimate, Lite, Core and Education.
Version 12 introduced "Lite Ultimate" for some reason.
