Us Filipinos are fond of creating snacks from fruits which can be easily found in our kitchen. We can make a snack out of cassava, sweet potatoes, and so much more. As for me, I cooked some banana cue which is one of my most favorite Filipino snack.
Banana cue is a Filipino snack which is made of banana and carmelized sugar.
You only need three ingredients: oil, banana and sugar.
First thing you have to do is to peel the banana off. You can cook it whole, or cut it into slices. I prefer to have it into thin slices.
After slicing the bananas, I pour the oil into the pan. Make sure the oil is hot before putting the banana.
Make sure that both sides of the bananas are well-cooked and not burnt.
After cooking the bananas, set it aside for a while.
After setting aside the cooked bananas, it is time to caramelize the sugar. Make sure the oil is hot before pouring the brown sugar, mix it really well until it gets caramelized.
Add the cooked bananas into the caramelized sugar and mixed it really well to make sure all the parts of the bananas gets an equal caramelized sugar.
Then voila! There you have it. The perfect afternoon snacks, my favorite banana cue. Not only am I fond of eating this but my son as well. For me, these snacks are better than buying biscuits and eating junkfoods.
We enjoyed our snack and savored every bite.

I certainly agree that banana cue is one of the best tasting snacks we could have, I sometimes just want to buy those sold on the streets but banana cue prices have now gone up already, better make one at home, cheaper and you’ll know the process it has undergone knowing it is done in a way you want more like me I love to it eat thinner and crispier♡☺︎☺︎
