Yesterday was one of those matches where the ideas were good with some minor bets that could have turned out as winners but they lost. Westerlo vs Kv Mechelen

This is yet another playoff 2 match with nothing really to play for. Yesterday that turned into a non 1st Half and an open last 20 minutes of the match. Today, The teams are Westerlo who have not yet won a match during these playoffs now playing their final home match of the season. Their results so far have been 2-2 / 3-2 / 1-1 / 3-3 / 3-2 / 0-3 / 2-0 and their main issue has been that they way too easily take goals against. Aside from Bayram, they are complete and I expect them to field their A-Squad with the needed motivation to take the win today. Kv Mechelen so far had 2-1 / 2-4 / 3-0 / 0-0 / 3-1 / 3-2 / 2-3 / 2-3 results losing their last 2 matches after they no longer are able to win Playoff 2. They also have quite a lot of injuries with Coucke, Bassette, Cobbaut, Hairemans which all are possible starters. Last week in the match away against Stvv it was a wide-open 1st half after the first goal but things really cooled down in the 2nd. Most likely, the match picture will be that Westerlo tries to take the initiative with Mechelen just going their chance on the counters. Westerlo in the 1st half in their last home match against stvv won the corners with 3-1 and at home against OHL they won them with 7-1 while Mechelen away against Stvv lost the 1st half with 2-1 while the away match against standard in the 1st half was lost by 5-2. I see a good chance for the match picture to be favorable to see this pattern continue and took 0.15 units on Westerlo 1st Half +0 Corners @ 1.840 and also a 0.008 ETH crypto bet on Westerlo 1H -0.5 corners @ 2.30 on Dexsports. The over at high odds also remains an option but I will wait to see how the match goes before potentially taking a bet on that.

Standard vs AA Gent

Standard fans last week boycotted the Bus of their team to reach the stadium which made the match not take place. They are displeased with the owners of the club who are leaving it for dead. Their fans stated that they will no longer take such actions as the team would be in danger to relegate if it happened multiple times. There is no guarantee however that this match will see an end in case AA Gent would take a multiple goal lead. Standard has nothing to play for and their players are also haven't been paid from what I hear. Purely on quality they also lack. AA Gent still has 1 important test match to be played likely away against Cercle or Genk in 1 match which will be a challenge playing at 01:30 away against a team who is used of the playoff 1 pace. Their quality of play recently hasn't been all too impressive but they are going to want to take the win to build confidence to not end up like Antwerp who after giving up on playoff 1 totally lacked momentum in the cup which they lost. This one is just a tricky match to predict due to many uncertain factors mainly from Standard and their fans. I'm kind of expecting a narrow win of AA Gent in a match that isn't too high on goals. Since I don't bet under in these playoffs 2 matches, I'm sticking to No Pre-Game Bets
