Due to the conference Seim Finals and the Cup last week, the match between Club Brugge and Union is scheduled on Monday. So 1 more match to cover before making the weekly results posts. So far I'm up +0.18 units thanks to some good calls in the league over the weekend. These are my thoughts on the match tonight...

Club Brugge vs Union SG

The situation right now is that both teams can fully focus on the league after Club Brugge was eliminated in Europe last Wednesday while Union managed to win the cup on Thursday. Club Brugge has a 3-point lead over Union while still being 1 point behind on Anderlecht who they play against next week. So for Union, the only real option tonight is to win the match if they want to stay in the race for the title. A draw for Club Brugge would not be the end of the world but a win would put them many steps closer to the title. It remains somewhat of a question mark to me what the match picture at the start will be and if there will be a team willing to lay back and speculate on the counter. What is for sure though is that at some point in the match, one of the teams will be forced to go forward and take risks. This makes me lean on the 2nd half to be the highest scoring but at the same time I would not be surprised if the match was on from minute 1. Most pressure tonight will be on Club Brugge but they at the same time might benefit from the fact that Union has to win. For now, I'm just going to opt to stay away and see what happens.
