America's Frontline Doctors is an American right-wing political organization known for spreading misinformation about the COVID-19 pandemic.[1][2][3] Founded by Simone Gold and promoted by the Tea Party Patriots, it has opposed lockdowns and social distancing mandates during the COVID-19 pandemic by citing alleged and unapproved treatments for COVID-19. In January 2021, Gold and the group's communications director John Strand were both arrested in connection with the 2021 United States Capitol attack.
On January 6, 2021, founder Simone Gold participated in the 2021 United States Capitol attack to protest the certification of Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election. She faced charges of entering a restricted building or grounds, violent entry and disorderly conduct.[9] Gold claimed she followed a crowd into the Capitol without realizing it was illegal entry. Gold claimed she did not witness any violence; however, the FBI affidavit in support of criminal complaint and arrest warrant references video evidence that contradicts this.[12] Gold told reporters that she was concerned that photos of her inside the Capitol would distract from her health advocacy work and said "I do regret being there" but described the event as "not a riot" and "incredibly peaceful."[11][13]
Thanks for the link. People sometimes do things in a political environment that others disagree with and criticise heavily. This, though, is nothing to do with science or the facts of the case presented to the courts. The merits or failings of the evidence and case that have been presented will be examined, I imagine, without reference to her political beliefs.
One person's misinformation is another person's accurate information and Wikipedia is very well known for spreading misinformation itself. Even one of the founders, Larry Sanger, has gone on a kind of crusade to make people aware of how corrupted the editing of Wikipedia has become. There are large armies of well paid agents from various governments and other organisations who have no other role than editing Wikipedia in order to push their own agenda and narrative.
In a world where an information war is ongoing, it is important and necessary to remain as unbiased as possible and to learn to dissect claims and evidence from beliefs and agendas/biases.
While you may personally think that I have an agenda or bias, the reality is that I wouldn't be making any of these posts on COVID and whistleblowers if there wasn't such a concerted effort to censor scientific experts who dissent from the narrative that is being pushed so heavily.
Ya and people only got to see just what the government wanted them to see. Just like I believe the voting system was compromised. Did you see that officer shot the Girl in the face? She wasn't violent. But guess what he got off scot-free and that was never brought to mainstream media. which is control by the same people. Fauci and others tried this same stunt a few times before. starting with the AIDS virus, for which he was the front runner. Wake up, people! How does this make our so-called elected officials look? The most amazing thing to me about Donald Trump's followers, is that he was the most clearly authoritarian leader in the US in at least one hundred years, and plausibly since the country was first founded, and yet this is the guy that many anti-authoritarians (who should know better) decide to rally around. I used to believe that anti-authoritarianism might be gaining strength in the world, but the blindness shown during the last 5 years has made me reconsider that belief.
I don't agree what they did. Storming the capital the way they did and I'm not a Trumpist. I was just using that as an example as to what the government does and gets away with.
