Hola viajeros espero estén muy bien en cualquier parte del territorio en la que se encuentren, hoy vengo a relatarles un poco de mi tour express que hice por la ciudad de Caracas, la capital de Venezuela.
Hello travelers I hope you are very well in any part of the territory in which you are, today I come to tell you a little of my express tour I did in the city of Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.
Vista al Ávila desde Petare
Aventura no planificada / Unplanned adventure
Bienvenidas sean las aventuras que surgen sin planificar (y salen bien). Era mi último día en Puerto La Cruz, el oriente del país y tocaba regresar a Barquisimeto mi ciudad de residencia, para hacerlo teníamos que hacer una escala en Caracas y de allí continuar el viaje. Para mí sorpresa, cuando estamos llegando al primer terminal mi hermano me dice que está es nuestra parada, yo no lo pensé demasiado y me bajé junto a otro amigo que también viajaba con nosotros.
Welcome are the adventures that arise without planning (and turn out well). It was my last day in Puerto La Cruz, in the east of the country and it was time to return to Barquisimeto, my city of residence, to do so we had to make a stopover in Caracas and from there continue the trip. To my surprise, when we were arriving at the first terminal my brother told me that this was our stop, I did not think too much and I got off with another friend who was also traveling with us.
Barrios de Petare
Resulta que mi hermano estuvo cuadrando el paseo a Caracas junto a Óscar desde el día anterior y yo ni enterada, pero bueno. Nos íbamos a quedar en el lugar donde Óscar se estaba hospedando llamado La Bombilla en Petare, que realmente está ubicado es en el estado Miranda.
It turns out that my brother had been planning the trip to Caracas with Oscar since the day before and I didn't even know about it, but okay. We were going to stay at the place where Oscar was staying called La Bombilla in Petare, which is actually located in the state of Miranda.
Metro de Caracas
Trasladarse aquí es bastante complicado por lo menos para mí que vengo de una ciudad cuadriculada, dónde todo está por números de carreras y calles y es más fácil orientarse, pero en Caracas, las calles están conectadas de una manera diferente que me cuesta entender, por esa razón usamos el transporte público más común allá, el metro.
Getting around here is quite complicated, at least for me coming from a grid city, where everything is by race and street numbers and it is easier to find my way around, but in Caracas, the streets are connected in a different way that is hard for me to understand, that's why we use the most common public transportation there, the subway.
Paseo Los Próceres
Así fuimos llegando entre metro y bus hasta el Paseo Los Próceres. Un lugar sin dudas hermoso y amplio donde las personas van a practicar actividades deportivas y recreativas por lo que pudimos observar. Aquí también se encuentra un monumento donde se erigen las figuras de varios próceres de independencia de la historia de Venezuela.
So we arrived between subway and bus to Paseo Los Próceres. A beautiful and spacious place where people go to practice sports and recreational activities as far as we could see. Here there is also a monument where the figures of several independence heroes of the history of Venezuela are erected.
Esfera Caracas del artista cinético Jesús Soto
Una de las metas en este tour express era poder ver la escultura de arte cinético del artista venezolano Jesús Soto. Es una esfera que tanto habíamos visto en fotos mi hermano y yo que nos fuimos hasta allá. La cuestión es que para allá solo se va en carro, nosotros andábamos caminando y solo pudimos llegar hasta cierto punto. De todas formas la logramos ver.
One of the goals of this express tour was to see the kinetic art sculpture by Venezuelan artist Jesús Soto. It is a sphere that my brother and I had seen so much in photos that we went there. The thing is that you can only go there by car, we were walking and we could only get to a certain point. Anyway, we managed to see it.
Obelisco en la plaza Francia
Para finalizar este día fuimos hasta otro lugar que queríamos conocer, la Plaza Francia. Lo bonito de estar por allí de noche es que pudimos apreciar las luces que le dan un toque mucho más encantador al lugar.
To finish this day we went to another place we wanted to visit, the Plaza Francia. The nice thing about being there at night is that we could appreciate the lights that give a much more charming touch to the place.
Últimas horas en la capital /
Esquina en Petare
Queríamos aprovechar las horas de la mañana para terminar de recorrer algunas zonas de la metrópolis porque en la tarde ya estaríamos regresando a Barquisimeto.
We wanted to take advantage of the morning hours to finish touring some areas of the metropolis because in the afternoon we would be returning to Barquisimeto.
Algo que personalmente quería hacer era recorrer las galerías de arte y museos y nos fuimos muy emocionados a hacerlo, pero lo que no sabíamos es que esos lugares tienen un horario de atención al público que es de jueves a domingo y nosotros andamos por esos lados un miércoles. Entonces caminamos por todo el paseo de Bella Artes y nada, ninguno de los lugares estaba abierto. Cerca de allí se encuentra el parque Los Caobos donde la vegetación abunda al igual que las ardillas.
Something I personally wanted to do was to visit the art galleries and museums and we were very excited to do it, but what we didn't know is that those places have opening hours from Thursday to Sunday and we were walking around on a Wednesday. So we walked all over the Bella Artes promenade and nothing, none of the places were open. Nearby is Los Caobos park where vegetation abounds as well as squirrels.
Aquí nos encontramos a dos chicas que también son de Barquisimeto y que al igual que nosotros se encontraban por poco tiempo en la ciudad, ellas estaban decepcionadas por no poder conocer los espacios de artes como nosotros, por eso terminamos invitandolas a nuestra siguiente parada.
Here we met two girls who are also from Barquisimeto and who, like us, were in the city for a short time, they were disappointed for not being able to visit the art spaces as we were, so we ended up inviting them to our next stop.
Capitolio
Plaza Bolivar
Catedral Metropolitana de Santa Ana
Casa de la historia de Venezuela
Era el turno de conocer parte del casco histórico de la capital y comenzamos por El Capitolio, lugar sede del poder legislativo venezolano. Seguido fuimos a la Plaza Bolivar, por allí estuvimos caminando un buen tiempo porque hay varios lugares que conocer como la Catedral de Santa Ana, la Casa Natal del Libertador al igual que la Casa de la Historia de Venezuela de los Mendoza.
It was our turn to visit part of the historic center of the capital and we started at El Capitolio, the seat of the Venezuelan legislative power. Then we went to the Plaza Bolivar, where we walked for a long time because there are several places to visit such as the Cathedral of Santa Ana, the Casa Natal del Libertador as well as the Casa de la Historia de Venezuela de los Mendoza.
Jugo de naranja de la esquina
Después de tanto recorrido nos tomamos un merecido juguito de naranja para seguir caminando al otro punto turístico, pero ese si se los voy a mostrar en otra publicación porque el lugar fue increíble.
After so much sightseeing we had a well deserved orange juice to continue walking to the other tourist spot, but I will show you that one in another post because the place was incredible.
Calle caraqueña
Así llegamos al final de este tour express por la ciudad capital, encantados con todos los lugares y personas que pudimos conocer. A mí me queda una visita pendiente a los distintos museos y galerías que hay por esos lados, espero pueda realizar ese viajecito pronto.
So we arrived at the end of this express tour of the capital city, delighted with all the places and people we were able to meet. I still have a pending visit to the different museums and galleries around these parts, I hope I can make that little trip soon.

hahahaha yo dos veces fui a Barquisimeto y me paso lo mismo que a ti con Caracas, me confundia con las calles y el sistema del transporte.
De verdad? Pero si aquí es súper fácil jajaja solo debes andar contando las calles 😅
