Newely launch "Threads an Instagram" belongs to the family of metaverse. Threads on Instagram is known as the "Twitter Killer" because both has similarities. We all witnessed the imposition of subscription on Twitter users by Elon Musk, banned users on Twitter and their accounts are blocked this is what happens with Twitter users. Few days back, I read that one of our hive fellow's Twitter account was restricted for one month.
Threads on Instagram got 70 Million sign up shows that this gonna be next biggest social media platform or a game changer.

The technological development and users needs to be secure and authoritative give birth to the importance of decentralized system where users control their accounts and data. Freedom of speech and freedom of engagement, control over data is the basic right of internet users and it could only be assure with web 3 or decentralized Platforms.
Yeah! You get right "Threads On Instagram" is a web 2 platform where users doesn't have control over data and account. They aren't secure, probably their data may be traded to government and organizations. That's a biggest threat to users privacy.
That's way the "Threads on Instagram" are also going to lost it's popularity as the people know the danger lf centralization.

Yeah, a centralized database is at the mercy of those with access - including everyone physically present at the datacenter. Of course sites can be rolled back to restore, but even this is at the discretion of the owner. If one gets bored of their site, they can close it without notice.
