A new Spring and new life in nature. (Part 2)

I promised that I will do more posts on the Malachite baby, as you really enjoyed Part 1 in HERE so this is a second post to show you how cute she is.
080.JPG

She was taking a break from eating and resting on a Strelitzia flower, also known as a Paradise flower.

I will show you more about her resting stage in another post, as I also like the action pictures that you will see in here. The parents feed her approximately every 20 minutes and the dad has learned not to feed her big insects such as the mantis in the previous post. Now the dad only comes in with smaller insects, as you will see.
The mom however is spot on with the feeding, as she instinctively knows what the baby needs.
Come and look.

See? The dad now comes with smaller insects.

I still think that the mom below does it so much better, as her beak is not as long as the dad's.
229.JPG

230.JPG

Come, come now my baby, please eat, I promise that I will not stick my beak into your stomach again, the dad said, as the baby was in one of her obnoxious moods again.
244.JPG

Look how shallow the dad sticks his beak into her throat now :)
264.JPG

But again, moms always know better and she doesn't have to plead with the baby.

Finally to show you a wonderful healthy little girl.

This is how life is supposed to be isn't it? Parents to care for and also to feed their children. Then I wonder how we have so much child undernourishment among children in the world. Poverty will no doubt be the first excuse. And of course, there are many other reasons, such as broken families, missing fathers, orphans, and a host of other problems. Yet we have millions of arable lands that can be cultivated to feed the poor. A lot is being done already, but sadly there are still so many children that have to go to bed hungry. Nature teaches us to feed our children and we, as the human race simply have to wake up.

I grew up poor as my mom was the only bread winner, but we had food to eat every day. Maybe not gourmet meals, but enough to keep us healthy. But I also know what hunger pangs are and it is not pleasant, as at times things were very difficult. At Papillon we have over the years fed thousands of people both adults and children, but it is a mere drop in the bucket of hunger. A dream would be that all of the farmers would send 20% of their produce to a centralized food bank that will distribute the food to all of the poor areas. But maybe that's asking too much.
Such is life.

I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures.

Beautiful pictures

Even nature knows how to take care of her chicks.

Humans should learn a little from them, I know the need in my own flesh, and I also place my drop in the middle of this ocean of shortages providing for needy families, with the dream that we can extend to more people.

Greetings!

Thank you and I totally agree.

Some humans would rather destroy nature in their hunt for profits, instead of learning from nature.
So then it is two drops and a few drops more, as I know some people here on hive that add to the drops, by helping others.
Isolated drops are good, but if food banks can be established, then it can help thousands of needy people.

Greetings and !PIZZA

This is how life is supposed to be isn't it? Parents to care for and also to feed their children

It is the duty of the parents to take good care of their ward as their strength permit them. However, as you mentioned, some situations that one doesn't expect might come up which might prevent the parent to take care of their kids as expected of them. Even when we don't have a case of orphan, single parenting. Some parents still can't afford to feed their kids well, maybe due to some unforeseen circumstances that is beyond their power.

I agree and as I said, there are any other reasons that result in children going hungry. This is why I feel that a national food bank would be of great help. Some years ago we were sponsored with many trucks full of food and we distributed it to many NGOs that had soup kitchens to feed the poor in their communities. That's when I saw that a food bank will be of great benefit for the needy children and adults that are unemployed.

I love this initiative you mentioned, only if it won't be highjack by some powerful people who don't need it.

Nowadays everything gets highjacked, but fortunately we know how to protect our charity projects.

Ringing the alarm bells as much as we can over the years, but everyone are wearing ear plugs.
Sadder that it's now getting even worse.
A real little madam she is.
Wet and snow is how our new week will be, in the middle of spring season !LOL

Yep, I know…
It is indeed even more sadder that it keeps increasing.

She really is, beautiful too. She will be a hand full when she is all grown up 😉

One can only continue hammering away, as maybe someday the wall will break.

She is gone now and on her way to start her new life. Thankfully I have many pics of her and I will do one more post.
Unheard off and a bit freezing over here.
Powercut due in 20 minutes, so the night will be dark.
Have a great Wednesday Jackie.

That is just too adorable. The little ball of fluff is growing quickly too! Mom and dad must be feeding the little one like crazy haha. Spectacular photos my friend. Those pin cushions are beautiful too, and complete it so nicely.

Thank you and she is gone now. It was a real pleasure to follow the entire nesting procedure. I still see the parents around, but there's no show of the new girl and I think that she must have a boyfriend by now in order to start her new life.
I also like the pincushions and of course also all of the other protea flowers.

Here's the baby on a new king protea flower.

Cheers and have some !PIZZA

Marvelous.. what else can one say about such a stunning image?! Thank you my friend for sharing such marvels of nature.

Thank you and my pleasure is to share my passion for nature.
Our God shows us His glory in creation, as no human hand can make something like this.
