Hi my fellow nature lovers,
How are you guys? I hope you all have a very happy weekend. Today, which was a Saturday, I took a day off from work, so I set out to climb a beautiful mountain range surrounded by nature. Mountain climbing is easier in the morning because there is not much sunlight. A close friend of mine joined me in this mountain climbing. Climbing this small hill near Galle Wanduramba area is not that difficult. This was also an easy one as I had some practical experience recently as I traveled to a temple on a mountain for an architectural exploration last week.
By the time we entered the starting point, the sunlight had fallen heavily on the ground. However, when climbing the mountain for a short distance, the body was not exposed to the sun as it was shaded by large trees. So I didn't feel too tired. This kind of travel that connects with nature should be added to life because our mind is constantly under intense pressure. I have been missing such nature trips for a long time due to being busy with work. However, I have made it a habit to join nature whenever possible.
There are different types of trees and vines in this forest. The value these add to the environment is not easy to describe in words. These forests add a lot of power to generate oxygen gas which is most important for human life. Accordingly, man should worship trees as divinity. But that's not what happens. It is not from yesterday that the trees that give life to the man who is to be worshiped above are being destroyed. Although it is true that trees are needed for timber, trees are cut and destroyed in the forests for the purpose of getting more profit. Today it has become a racket.
Both of us did not get a chance to avoid their attack in this mountainous area infested with leeches. Swarms of leeches were waiting for us. But the attacks of leeches did not hinder our climbing. Some places were slippery so we had to be very careful holding on to trees and rocks. Although our feet felt a little tired, the shade and breeze from the trees brought us great relief.
We had to walk through a dense forest near the top of the mountain. There was no need to be afraid because giants of wild animals did not roam in this forest. There was only the threat of poisonous snakes, so we moved forward cautiously. We did not feel too tired because we stopped and walked on the rocks found here and there. It has become everyone's responsibility to protect such places which contribute more to biodiversity. Such forests should be preserved for future generations.
After an hour and a half journey, we reached the top of the mountain, which is the destination. Any mountain climber will reach their destination no matter how many obstacles they encounter, because the scenery seen at the top of any mountain is unique. I climbed a low country mountain range, so I could not see the mountains connected to each other. However, we were able to see the Indian Ocean and some ships that traveled there. But too far to photograph. In addition, we were able to see several areas.
A river does not flow in the lower area where the mountain begins. There is a paddy field. Due to the heavy rains that have fallen in the last two days, the paddies are filled with water and muddy water flows in the form of a river. The view above is beautiful but below is a story of tears. Such is the behavior of nature. Sometimes brings happiness and sometimes causes sadness. But if nature is sincerely loved, it too is ready to reward us again.
The natural beauty is extraordinary and I also really like to climb mountains and see beautiful views.

It's good that you took the day at work to go mountaineering, and I think it was worth walking more than an hour and a half, the views you got from the top are wonderful

Spend the weekend hiking, one of the activities to calm down from work. I love the natural scenery.
