RE: Open Letter to Dolphins and Whales - Growing My Support

in #growth6 years ago

Just like you I've made the 'mistake' of dedicating my time helping smaller accounts to grow, while forgetting to look up. As a result, I receive little support from bigger accounts.
It's important to find the balance between helping the small guys and looking up.

I hope you'll get some reactions to this. Resteemed. :0)

Support is so important and with the work you do, someone should be supporting you. Would u consider a post like this?

Difficult question. Maybe one day, but definitely not right now. I mean, I'm on such a mental rollercoaster these last couple of months, I can't really call myself a reliable asset, lol. I've been doing good these last weeks, but I might as well disappear again for some time.
That's really not a good sales pitch ;0)

Last week, I got tired of waiting and profited from the low Steem price to buy my way up to 5000SP, which gives me some possibilities to make a difference for others.

Except from Asher, I haven't really been mingling (Is that a word?) with the bigger accounts, and although I can understand that they overlooked me (because I never took any initiative towards them), I'm completely surprised that someone like you is left without support from the bigger accounts.

I think you have every right to write this post, and I admire your guts. Even if I would be a 'reliable asset', I think I would be too shy to do the same.

I like the boldness - it's a bit like the open letter Asher wrote to this guy with all the SP delegated to the bots. You can't get anything unless you try, right?!

It's about time that the big stakeholders contribute to the community. I know that, you know that, but I keep wondering if they even care about the community. I truly hope so.
And I hope some will see how valuable you are, and how much more you would be able to do for the community with a little help from them. Fingers crossed.

No way, lucky you, buying in will really help others. You invest in the platform and the people. YOU are the best type of person for the platform and I for one will make sure you have my support (although its not worth much at the moment but i will grow)

We're not going to fight about which one of us is the best for the platform, lol.

Of course I also bought in hoping that the Steem price will skyrocket. It was not a complete unselfish move, hahaha.

Thanks for the support. I have you set up as one of my autovotes on Steemdunk since a week or two now. I do have to check the site again, though. It used to be more reliable than SteemAuto, but today I noticed it has been missing quite some votes lately...

Anyway, I hope you'll be able to get the message through to someone.
