RE: Sowing cryptocurrencies, harvesting freedom

in Proof of Brain3 years ago

The title of the post got me, and Derman's story kept me reading to the end. Great post!

Besides being a medium of exchange (which paper money is), money is supposed to be a tool which offers us options. The options we have with paper money are limited, but we're just discovering how cryptocurrencies can give us options we wouldn't have imagined ten years ago.

If we can get more freedom from something we have and use, we should have more of it. Cryptocurrencies help us gain more freedom, and they help us re-imagine freedom in ways which favor us. It's only the beginning with cryptocurreny!

Thank you for your comment, I share these stories because it makes me happy to show those beautiful things that life offers us when something that could be classified as complicated to understand or access as cryptocurrencies show you an alternate world at your disposal.

I think that you, me and each one of us who make life in Hive are potential "Derman" discovering this world and making it ours, this is what freedom is all about, right?

Part of freedom is the ability to pursue happiness in ways which respect other people's ability to do the same. That means we need to respect everyone's right to do just that as long as they respect ours. The more ways we have to pursue our happiness, the better chance we have of finding that happiness.

Happiness doesn't depend on money, but money can't hurt. If we don't have paper money (or paper money is worthless), and we don't have hard assets, perhaps cryptocurrencies can fill the gaps for us. Cryptocurrenncies are for everyone, we just need to learn how to acquire them and show others how to acquire them.
