Splinterlands| Analyzing the Improvement That Happened With The Gwen’s Shop

It is the second season of the glint system, and it appears that Splinterlands has improved its gamification. It appears that players can now buy random draws or focus on common, rare, epic, and/or legendary draws. I will take a look at the quality of the rewards shortly.

I finished in Champions 3, and it was a steady grind from Diamond 3, where I began at the beginning of last season. In the end, I finished with 57k Glints and had 93k Glints to shop with. I previously had around 6k Glints and used 96% of my Glint rewards.
I averaged 0.85 SPS per game and won between 11 and 14 games per day. I did not calculate the value of the SPS because the price has been steadily declining for the past two to weeks.

An Unmistakable Edge

First and foremost, the previous reward system will remain my favorite because it incorporates the element of surprise and allows anyone to receive any type of reward, particularly if they earn Gold or Diamond chests. The new system is still restrictive, and I will explain why. Let us not forget about the daily focus, which was one of the most exciting aspects of Splinterlands.

The daily focus allows you to maximize your ECR and build your soulbound collection, particularly if you are the serious type. You earn a variety of cards, including legendaries. I believe that if we had the glint system from the start, only top-tier players would own legendary cards because it would require a large number of Glints to purchase even one legendary card, let alone increase the level of these legendary cards.

This is why it was so important to farm and own good soulbound cards prior to this change. This also leads me to believe that earning soulbound cards will become increasingly difficult in the future

GLINTS are innovative, true

Using them for shopping is not a bad idea; however, I believe it means you must win more games to have the opportunity to purchase a high-quality draw. You do not just need to win more; you also need to have more staked SPS and more quality cards, not soulbound ones, but ones purchased with real money.

A review of my shopping experience.

After shopping, I discovered that the best draws are rare, epic, and legendary draws, also known as rarity draws. The random draws are draws that are just meant to be gambled with. Unless you already have a lot of Glints, I do not recommend getting any more. Although there are exciting rewards to be had there, if your resources are limited, you will not want to gamble.

Choosing rarity draws provides more certainty, and I spent half of my Glints (if not more) on rare draws.

I did this because, after purchasing ten of the draws, I discovered that this is the draw you should choose if you want to level up your summoner. The majority, if not all, of soulbound summoners are rare cards, and purchasing these draws ensures that you will receive at least 70% of soulbound summoners. My main priority was to upgrade my summoners, so I shopped heavily to get all of my soulbound summoners to level 5 and 6. Then I start burning cards in bulk and reusing them to buy more draws.

I also purchased some epic draws, but I was dissatisfied with the majority of the results; they were expensive. I bought a lot more draws and even tried my luck with random draws in the hopes of winning some jackpots. However, the most value for Glints came from purchasing rare draws, as I needed high level summoners because I already had a lot of hive level cards that I could not play with lower level summoners.

I also spent about 3k Plus merits on two Gladius cases, which was not particularly exciting, but at least I tried.

I Achieved My Summoner Goals

So, as the season came to a close, my top priority was soulbound summoners, which I partially accomplished. I did not buy any legendary draws because they cost too much at 25k Glints. Imagine buying 4 legendary draws for 100k which is even two seasons glint rewards.

I believe they are the lowest value for Glints because you cannot burn one legendary card for 2k Glints; the highest you can burn it for is about 5 to 10k, which means that if you get a legendary you do not want, you will lose a whopping 15k Glints, unless it is a GFL. All of this is hypothetical, as I did not purchase any legendary cards to confirm it.

The Gwen's shop Undoubtedly Improved

The new changes to the Gwen shop have the advantage of allowing you to target your Glint to specific types of cards. Although I still believe the shop should have a separate section where you can trade your cards for any card of the same rarity, this ensures you do not lose any Glints when you decide to burn a card you do not want.

At the end of the day, I focused my Glints on increasing the level of my summoners, which I did. I burned some of my gold foil summoners to buy regular ones because the gold foil were no longer useful. It is a positive change at Gwen's shop. I have been writing and clamoring for it, and it is finally finished; I am hoping to see more gamification changes in the coming week.

I also like the modification of the Gwen shop with the addition of the new draws.
I will focus a lot on the rare and legendary draws

I like it so much as well, at least people can be able to spend their Glints in the way the want to and not getting cards they don't want.

Good thinking to buy more rare draws to upgrade your summoners. I have all mine at max level, but otherwise, that's a very effective way of getting high-level summoners.

I'd also like the choice between GF and RF. Matt said it will probably be added in the future.

As for legendary draw and the burn value of the cards and the discrepancy, yep, you have a point, but also, the benefits of leveling up legendary cards (or even epics) usually outweigh the cost differential of drawing the legendary card(s) you don't want/need. At least in time, through their increased stats and abilities in the gameplay.

I wasn't opportuned to max out my summoners before the changes happened, it's quite saddening that I wasn't able to. I have them at level 5 and six and it's definitely still a long way to max level. I think they're more priorities than anything at the moment. The summoners at the moment, then I'll do the remaining upgrades of the other cards.

It is a good chance for you to level up one set of summoners as high as possible, without buying them from the market with DEC. So yeah, push it! If you have more Glint than for 100 Rare Draws per season, I'd take Batch 2 as well. The fact that you don't have any higher-level summoner affects your potential results (provided you have or plan to have cards that could be played at a higher level).

My summoners first, then I hope I get more Glints to actually compete for legendary draws.

I agree, and I can't wait to try out the legendary draw. Some of my rewards summoners still need to make it to max level, where most of my common cards already have. But I am missing a few legendary cards still, but it's a steep price at 25K glints. Much improved in my view as well!

It's a lot, I was expecting the legendary draw to be at least 15k and not up to 25k the worst thing is that you cannot even burn them especially if they're legendary cards that you already have. But the addition of the rarity is quite good, this I know.

Is this the biggest game on Hive?

I don't know really
