How I study to understand is by teaching others. When I am trying to understand a particular subject or topic, I try to explain it to somebody. In teaching that person, I get to understand and it sticks longer. The moment I am telling my younger a particular topic, she just knows I am trying to understand it and she is always patient to listen to me even though I don't make sense to her.
