Saludos hivers y bienvenidos a mi blog. En mi edificio vivían dos gatos, bueno, no exactamente en el edificio sino en el terreno o jardín de la casa abandonada que está al lado, esos gatos eran hermanos y yo los alimentaba todos los días, sus nombres, Tommy y Xica, aquí su historia. A principios de abril y como todas las tardes, bajé a darles comida y sólo estaba Tommy, me pareció raro que Xica no hubiese venido pero supuse que a lo mejor andaría por ahí.
Hello hivers and welcome to my blog. Two cats lived in my building, well, not exactly in the building but in the land or garden of the abandoned house next door, those cats were brother and sister and I fed them every day, their names, Tommy and Xica, here their story. At the beginning of April and like every afternoon, I went down to give them food and only Tommy was there. It seemed strange to me that Xica hadn't come but I assumed that maybe she was around.
Al siguiente día tampoco vino. En las mañanas, ella y su hermano subían a tomar el sol en uno de los techos de la casa de al lado. Cada mañana me asomaba desde mi balcón con la esperanza de ver a los dos hermanos juntos pero sólo veía a Tommy solito y pensativo. Ellos eran muy unidos, todo el día dormían y jugaban juntos y en las tardes me esperaban en el estacionamiento para comer, juntos por supuesto jejeje 😊. Tommy era más apegado a Xica que ella a él, quizás porque Xica era más aventurera mientras que Tommy es muy tranquilo.
The next day she didn't come either. In the mornings, she and her brother would go up to sunbathe on one of the roofs of the house next door. Every morning I looked out from my balcony hoping to see the two siblings together but I only saw Tommy alone and thoughtful. They were very close, they slept and played together all day and in the afternoons they waited for me in the parking lot to eat, together of course hehehe 😊. Tommy was more attached to Xica than she was to him, perhaps because Xica was more adventurous while Tommy is very calm.
Cuando Xica desapareció, yo sabía que ella tenía una camada de gatitos de aproximadamente unos dos meses, aunque aún no los había visto porque las gatas que han estado en el edificio siempre han tenido sus gatitos en los espacios de la casa abandonada, aunque en realidad no está abandonada sino que los dueños murieron y los familiares la cerraron.
When Xica disappeared, I knew that she had a litter of kittens that were approximately two months old, although I hadn't seen them yet because the cats that have been in the building have always had their kittens in the spaces of the abandoned house, although in reality it's not abandoned but rather the owners died and the relatives closed it.
Cuatro o cinco días después de la última vez que vi a Xica, cuando bajé a darle comida a Tommy y me asomé al jardín de la casa de al lado, escuché unos maullidos de gatitos bebé, empecé a llamarlos y de repente apareció un pequeño negrito y después uno siamés, chillaban desesperadamente, obviamente porque tenían hambre, yo les eché espagueti con carne molida y estaban muy hambrientos 🥺.
Four or five days after the last time I saw Xica, when I went down to feed Tommy and looked into the garden of the house next door, I heard some baby kittens meowing, I started calling them and suddenly a little black kitten appeared and then a Siamese, they screamed desperately, obviously because they were hungry, I threw spaghetti with ground beef to them and they were very hungry 🥺.
Los primeros días les echaba comida casera en una servilleta para que cayera en un plástico que está ahí, pero después se me ocurrió algo más práctico en vista de que quería darles comida de gatos (croquetas o galletas), que es más nutritiva y los alimenta como debe ser. Ahora la comida les iba a llegar en un ascensor 🤭🤭🤭.
The first few days I put homemade food on a napkin so that it would fall into a plastic that is there, but then I thought of something more practical since I wanted to give them cat food (croquettes or cookies), which is more nutritious and nourishes them as it should be. Now the food was going to arrive in an elevator 🤭🤭🤭.
Tomé un pote de margarina, le hice dos huecos y con un pedazo de alambre hice un asa para poder subir y bajar el plato. El estacionamiento de mi edificio es aéreo, y el jardín donde están los gatitos está al nivel de la calle así que como ya les comenté, yo estoy mucho más arriba que ellos, a más de 4 metros, así que usé la cuerda que hice y con otro alambre hice un garfio para poder agarrar el plato, bueno, el pote de margarina jejeje.
I took a pot of margarine, I made two holes in it and with a piece of wire I made a handle so I could raise and go down the plate. The parking lot of my building is aerial, and the garden where the kittens are is at street level so as I already told You, I am much higher than them, more than 4 meters, so I used the rope I made and with another wire I made a hook to be able to grab the plate, well, the margarine pot hehehe.
Les estoy dando comida de gatos especial para gatitos de hasta 6 meses y les encanta 😸😋. Apenas me ven que me asomo por el muro empiezan a maullar esperando que baje su delivery 🤭🤭, bueno, su comidita pues. Al principio maullaban más pero ahora se quedan tranquilos mientras intento agarrar el plato para subirlo, cosa que a veces no es tan sencilla 🥴, sobretodo cuando empiezan a jugar con mi cuerda especial 🤦🏻♀️😂😂😂😂🤷🏻♀️.
I'm giving them special cat food for kittens up to 6 months old and they love it 😸😋. As soon as they see me peeking over the wall they start meowing waiting for their delivery to come down 🤭🤭, well, their food. At first they meowed more but now they stay calm while I try to grab the plate to lift it, which is sometimes not so easy 🥴, especially when they start playing with my special rope 🤦🏻♀️😂😂😂😂🤷🏻♀️.
Tommy siempre comía arriba, no en el estacionamiento, sino en el muro que está hacia la casa, pero después que el gato siamés que anda por ahí lo atacó varias veces tanto en nuestro estacionamiento como en el techo de la casa abandonada, ahora Tommy prefiere quedarse abajo con sus sobrinos jajaja y así evitar tener que lidiar con el gato siamés, que por cierto, es el papá de los gatitos.
Tommy always ate upstairs, not in the parking lot, but on the wall that faces the house, but after the Siamese cat that hangs around attacked him several times both in our parking lot and on the roof of the abandoned house, Tommy now prefers stay downstairs with his nephews hahaha and thus avoid having to deal with the Siamese cat who, by the way, is the father of the kittens.
Tommy es un gato muy dulce, a diferencia de su hermana, que nunca la pude acariciar, Tommy poco a poco me fue tomando confianza y ahora se me enreda entre las piernas y le gusta que lo acaricie. Una de las cosas que más me sorprende de Tommy es ver como se queda esperando que primero coman los gatitos y después él va y come, que ternura ☺️.
Tommy is a very sweet cat, unlike his sister, who I was never able to pet, Tommy little by little began to trust me and now he gets tangled between my legs and likes me to pet him. One of the things that surprises me the most about Tommy is seeing how he waits for the kittens to eat first and then he goes and eats, how cute ☺️.
Luego de comer se acicalan, juegan y duermen. La mayor parte del día la pasan en las áreas más alejadas de la casa y se acercan a este lado cuando es la hora de la comida jajaja, o sea, en la mañana y a las 6 de la tarde. Aparte del pote de la comida, yo recorté por la mitad una botella de plástico de 5 litros y la bajé al jardín con una cuerda, ahí les echo agua desde arriba para que siempre tengan y se refresquen, sobretodo ahora que está haciendo tanto calor 🥵.
After eating they groom themselves, play and sleep. They spend most of the day in the areas furthest from the house and come to this side when it's time to eat hahaha, that is, in the morning and at 6 in the afternoon. Apart from the food pot, I cut a 5 liter plastic bottle in half and lowered it to the garden with a rope, there I pour water on them from above so that they always have and cool off, especially now that it's so hot 🥵.
Aún no les he puesto nombres porque no sé si son hembras o machos jajaja 🤔, he intentado verlos desde arriba pero son bastante peludos así que no es fácil 🤷🏻♀️ pero tengo que desparasitarlos y para hacerlo tendré que subirlos, seguramente será toda una aventura hacerlo y por supuesto les estaré contando por aquí que tal salió todo 😉. Mi mamá y mi hermana dicen que parecen unas calabacitas jajaja así que por los momentos les digo, los smashing pumpkins 🎃🎃🤭😂.
I haven't given them names yet because I don't know if they are females or males hahaha 🤔, I have tried to see them from above but they are quite hairy so it's not easy 🤷🏻♀️ but I have to deworm them and to do so I will have to climb them, it will surely be quite an adventure to do it and of course I will be telling you here how everything turned out 😉. My mom and my sister say that they look like pumpkins hahaha so for now I call them, the smashing pumpkins 🎃🎃🤭😂.

Mis dos pequeños amiguitos van creciendo cada día más y me alegra ver que a pesar de que su mamá murió (que es lo que probablemente pasó 😥), están saliendo adelante y soy feliz al saber que los estoy ayudando a lograrlo 😊🐱🤗.
My two little friends are growing more every day and I'm happy to see that even though their mother died (which is what probably happened 😥), they are getting ahead and I'm happy to know that I am helping them achieve it 😊🐱🤗.
Para mí siempre es una gran satisfacción poder serle útil a otros seres vivos, en especial si son animales. No importa cómo pero hay que hacerlo, lo importante es dar el primer paso y actuar porque todas las vidas son valiosas independientemente de su tamaño o especie. Saber que la empatía que siento hacia los animales sigue intacta en mí desde niña hasta ahora, me hace muy feliz 😌.
For me it's always a great satisfaction to be able to be useful to other living beings, especially if they are animals. It doesn't matter how but it has to be done, the important thing is to take the first step and act because all lives are valuable regardless of their size or species. Knowing that the empathy I feel towards animals remains intact in me since I was a child until now makes me very happy 😌.

Jajaja, siii. Indio es el gato de mi familia. Es un hermoso gato de mas de 13 kilos. Es enorme!!!. Me quiere pero solo para darle de comer. Apenas termina de comer, me muerde y se va. Pero cuando tiene hambre, es mi mejor amigo. 😒
Y a Bartolo no le gusta para nada el abrigo. Se lo deja un ratito pero luego se lo saca. Igual no te creas que es un inocente. Es un diablito ese gato!. Malcriado que tiene el apoyo de toda mi familia y mio obviamente 😂.

Jajaja, si si, tiene recontra sobrepeso pero es asi, un gatito gordo pero sano. Es vago, no le gusta caminar, sale un ratito al patio y juega solo 5 minutos con mi gato. Luego lo unico que hace es comer y dormir.
Bartolo es todo lo contrario. No puede quedarse quieto. El siempre tiene que tener todas las puertas abiertas para que pueda ir de una punta a la otra. 🤭

Que hermoso esos gatitos nuevos, que lastima lo de Xica. Ahora Tommy tiene a sus sobrinos para que todos tengan compañía. Estos animalitos son un amor, tengo 5 en casa y los tres pequeños son tremendos
Muchas gracias, me alegra que te gusten ☺️. Si vale, es una lastima lo de Xica. Tommy es muy tranquilo y a diferencia de los otros gatos machos él no anda buscando pelea ni nada de eso jajaja, más bien huye de los conflictos, prefiere echarse a dormir y jugar con sus sobrinos jejeje, es mejor así.
