People might think I have a reason to defend Netflix for this, it's more like I'm defending their right to defend this and I can see why they would if it helps bring more attention to the shit that's happening daily on platforms with 100x the users of Netflix.
How else could they point out the shit that's going on? I get a documentary would've been better but are parents going to watch that, are kids going to watch that and maybe think it over the shit they do for clout on tiktok, etc? Are they going to CGI the actors? Way to focus on the wrong things and try paint people for not following the herd.
Yes, CGI is a phenomenal idea. Cartoons are a good way of exploring topics without actually engaging in the very exploitation they're addressing.
I agree that shows like this shouldn't be "illegal" (free-speech/thought-crime) but if people find it objectionable, they should cancel their subscriptions because that's the ONLY VOTE THEY HAVE.
