Exactly, that's what annoys me, someone points out something new and everyone jumps on the bandwagon to lose their shit while saying "oh well I'm not into cancelculture but huehuehue I'm into peer pressure". There's so much shit going on out there, for a movie trying to point it out doesn't mean we should get all our pitchforks to shit on it while ignoring what it stands for and the rest of stuff happening.

You're right, this is a bandwagon. But I don't think it's cancel-culture. I think it's closer to "right of association" and just plain old free-market. There's an advantage to this particular bandwagon because it happens all on one day.
On my mobile, I have the sound of bleating to remind me that a lot of notifications from forums and groups I'm a member of are populated by a lot of sheep. I suspect Twitter Et Al would die if it didn't have at least one topic of outrage per week. #LeSigh
