I had an interesting conversation recently with a hive user I hadn't talked to in years, it was interesting for a few reasons.
First off he mentioned he had re-invested back into hive and he seemed happy to have been able to do it at this price point, which I told him I thought was a great time and that I wish I could buy more myself. He had delegated to a project of mine so he was wondering about something, so we talked a bit more about hive, the recent hardfork, etc.
He also mentioned after a bit that hive was his only investment. While this may not be the best idea, who am I to tell him otherwise with most of my crypto being in hive/zing. He went on to mention that he felt he needed to put that money back into hive rather than other crypto because if it wasn't for hive then he wouldn't ever have found out about crypto. He felt a sense of gratitude towards hive and also knew that it's a safe place for his funds and that he understood the network wasn't going to go anywhere.
Compared to other crypto it's easy to stress about it, price went up, some good/bad news popping up every day, exchanges luring you in with APR's or margin trade gambling, etc. He'd constantly wonder if he should act or not, as all the value would be there liquid and could be traded off at any time thus being a bit more stressful. With hive you choose to stake it up and it's sort of a "hassle" to unstake it as it takes 3 months, so you're better off just putting it to good use somehow and "forgetting about it" until things turn around drastically or something bigger happens that may make him wanna sell some off.
I kind of understand that, if it wasn't for hive I probably would've lost a lot of my crypto value to trading or exchange hacks or whatever other minefields that've happened over the years in this space. Not saying I'm irresponsible with money but hive kind of takes away that burden/stress when you are committed and have made a decision.
I also really appreciated that he thought of hive and wanted to come back here, what was crazy was that he was also currently "blacklisted" by hivewatchers for some things he admitted he had used AI to assist him with posts, but even so decided to invest - which is kind of rare to see. As most abusers always take the stance that it's them "vs" everyone else, they did nothing wrong, the downvoters/projects/network/everyone else is in the wrong. He instead understood that he had broken some of the community rules and that he had to face the consequences but that it meant that hive was "working".
Anyway, there's many things I'm grateful for hive for, probably too many to count.
Currently I've been feeling a bit mentally fatigued/overwhelmed with workload so trying to take a little bit of a break to hopefully come back stronger later. Some things have gotten delayed due to this but it should be fine, we're still in hibernation mode I suppose so it's okay if some parts of the network are a bit delayed in this sleeping beast.
Listening to @theycallmedan's latest post also got me some hype back recently so that was nice to listen to and see him post again. I agree with a lot of the stuff he says and how he thinks of things around here and am glad for hive to have such investors and hopefully many more similar ones in the future along with some that have always been here and are now able to get in similar stake-wise positions now due to market conditions. Looking forward to see who the big stakeholders are in the next few years and what they're up to!
Thanks for reading.
What really has impressed me is how the lights are always left on in Hive for the community members to come and go, and come back.
I read a post lately about leadership and employment relationships and how they have changed for the better or worse. It went along the lines of 'you don't have to ask permission to leave work and pick your sick child up early at daycare. You don't have to feel guilty for taking time off for a family vacation. You don't have to apologize for having a life and you are trusted to perform your role and achieve your objectives and manage your work/life balance so you can continue to be a part of a productive and growing team.'
Not the same really but kinda related when people come back because of the community. The rewards are a part of that community and I am not going to apologize for making them as I make connections, grow my network of real people, and keep the lights on for when people come back.
Anyhow, I share appreciation for Hive & the community that makes for that glue and perpetual safe place in the wild west that is crypto.

I am also very grateful to Hive. I feel that it has given me a secure foundation. I believe that being here has to do with a commitment to ourselves and the platform. Not just being there when things are going well, but also being there when the outlook is not so encouraging and working to make things work. Here we are, and here we remain. A successful 2026 for everyone.
It's nice to read what people think about Hive, whether positive or negative; everyone's interests or intentions upon learning about it are taken into account. In my case, I am also grateful that Hive exists because, without it, I wouldn't still be doing what I love most.
Unfortunately, since I started making money online in 2021 with the pandemic and a rather difficult economic situation, I haven't had much luck in every place I've entered. I started from scratch, with faucets and all that, then I experimented and, when I decided to participate in a blog, I found something I'm good at: writing. That's why I've been looking for platforms or sites within the crypto world where this is valued ever since. While experimenting here and there, I found my preferred niche and improved my writing over time.
I was already familiar with Hive back in 2021, but I didn't decide to start here at the time because I wasn't ready. However, over time I improved and gained experience. But bad luck always came hunting me like a wolf looking for a defenseless rabbit. Literally, every platform that started from the hill closed or was abandoned over time. That's why, several years later, in 2024, I stumbled across Hive again and decided to start over.
First of all, I am grateful that since then and until now it has not closed or been completely abandoned, and that despite the changes and difficulties it continues to maintain excellent projects. And above all, I am grateful that Hive has taken away that great weight of worry I had since I started in 2021 regarding security and stability. I still have a long way to go to achieve financial freedom, but my perspective has changed a lot lately and I know I need to grow within Hive so that things will go better for me later.
Thank you for your post.
Hive has changed my life in such a positive way, something I never expected when my son casually introduced me! Firstly, meeting so many people from all over the world, learning about how they live; then along came COVID, and with it lockdown, when my income was curbed in a big way. Hive came to the rescue in a way I never expected. Then, all the curveballs that life threw my way, the people of Hive kept me sane. Gratitude all the way!
We sometimes need to take a break from everyday life, hibernate, and come back stronger - a natural part of the circle of life.
Take it easy and listen to your mind and body.
It's crazy when you think about the longevity of this blockchain. Especially considering so many other similar platforms have tried and failed for various reasons. There's also so much value in it beyond the financial aspect—it expands perspectives by allowing you to communicate with others all over the globe. The war in Ukraine and recent US military action in Venezuela are good examples, we got to hear first-hand from native born citizens about their perspectives and every day lives living in a war zone. This is so valuable because it allows you to see beyond the MSM's propaganda and bias. Gratitude is the one word that comes to mind when I think of Hive as well. This place has completely changed my life and I'm sure this has been the case with many others.
In the first half, I thought I never talked to you... haha, as it feels more relatable. I think that's what makes everyone feel connected to Hive.
I have investments in other avenues as well, but Hive stays inside me for all the reasons mentioned above.
Lately, I have realized that I have put myself under a bit of pressure to accumulate, and I mostly see everyone being a part of it. And I've been following the urge to delegate and be curated. I had never felt that urge in 8 years. While curation is subjective, I see there's an unusual method of curation, not because I haven't received anything. I kind of feel sometimes that while it exists, I am a part of it. I can say it would excel create inflation . Have you noticed something?idk..everything is subjective.
inflation is way down since the latest hardfork after a "fix" in the code, that's all I know really, high inflation was only temporary for a couple months, other than that it's the DHF generating a lot of hive and the debt paired with hbd.
It's good to see people coming back now that a lot are stopping because of low price... I wouldn't being investing in crypto besides hive, differentiate is good, but between different scopes, so crypto is just hive (eventually btc if I had to pick an other), then other sources of income
You need to clone, so one of you can rest at turn
Dan is the embodiment of a perma-bull huh?
Well, I too feel a lot of gratitude for this place. My one constant for 8 years. I've lived in different countries, different cities, been broke, had money, been sick, been healthy... life has been a roller coaster for 8 years. But I was had my little blog to come back to, to reflect on the traveled path, and friends I could reach out to as well.
I'm glad you are still around too bro.
On the investing front. I got nothing to buy the dip with, so I'm just active, and working. But if I did have some, I would be whaling up right about now.
I know a fair number of people who are still pretty bullish on HIVE and that is a nice thing to see because it seems like oh so many are not.
Goood to hear these stories! Hope he will stay here.
Safe space for funds made me giggle at first. Low after low, and -85% YTD does not exactly scream safe investment hehe. But yeah, safe against stealing, hacks and so on, Hive indeed feels and is safe as can be in crypto.
oh misread that you said all time high
Hah, no worries!
Do you think many people bought at the top?
I always find it weird that we always compare prices from the all time top it was at for maybe 5 minutes out of 5 years. :D
Thanks for sharing this, It’s kinda nice to read something reflective instead of reactionary to the bear market and Hive’s 3-month power down forces you to be a long term investor, some crypto projects once the price is this low, investors pack out and leave .
Hi friend, cheers. I'm optimistic about Hive; I try to be consistent and participate, and I'm sure that if I had the resources, I would invest them in Hive. Because I'm excited about what I've learned here and I know it's a good option. I'll stay here because, beyond the rewards, I enjoy it.
I'm also very grateful to Hive, especially because I've learned about the world of crypto here, and it's good to be grateful and always give second chances if they deserve them. I tried to watch the video, but I don't know English and only read the comments, but I always want to be optimistic about Hive, always, and be here as much as possible. Rest in peace, brother; we're not machines.
Hi, sometimes it's good to breathe and relax for a few days. And then start again refreshed. I don't have a magic wand, but I'm optimistic and want to believe that everything will be alright. For me, Hive has so much potential; it just needs more committed users, and I think that could be achieved if all parties work towards that goal. It's nice in theory, but I think we can make it a reality with commitment.
Whenever I can, I'm on Hive; it's my favorite pastime. I'm an optimist. Have a good rest and stay positive and keep coming back.
I will have to go and check out what he had to say. Hive is the only crypto I put in actual dollars into during this recent downturn. I didn't put in much, I can't recall if it was $300 or $500, but still this is more than zero I added to my other holdings like BTC, ETH, SOL, ONDO, ADA, NEAR, AERO etc...
I am prepared for Hive to go even lower say six to three cents this year and in that case I will buy more. I am not concerned with price for the next five years, I am here to accumulate as much Hive as possible for the chance that Hive goes even a little bit mainstream.
After all it is great to see a community that tackles both challenges and opportunities together. Their dedication over the long-term eases some of the pressure that comes with investing in crypto.
I'm not a financial person but Hive seems to have held up pretty well in the hostile american pyramid dream global takeover.
Hope you get some R & R <3
Hive has helped me understand things I didn't know before and it's really nice to learn new things on this platform. it's been a lot of fun. I wish you a successful 2026 and hope to stay positive.
