Lighting the room

Over a month ago, my son’s LED lights in his room stopped working because they broke. The thing is, we’d been meaning to buy new ones because, honestly, the room looks really nice with those lights—he loves them, and they give it style and personality. We found a store that sells LED lights, but my father-in-law insisted on going to buy them himself since it was pretty close to his work. Even though he doesn’t know much about lights, I didn’t see anything wrong with it since I sent him the specifications in a picture.

The thing is, when I turned the lights on, they didn't look much like the ones I'd bought before—the LED lights looked more like Christmas lights, and they didn't have adhesive tape on the back, which really disappointed me. The only thing that cheered me up was seeing that they could be controlled both with a remote and via a cell phone app—something I’d never had with my previous lights. Anyway, I had to improvise and attached the LED lights with nothing more and nothing less than plain old adhesive tape. That said… I used plenty of tape in different directions at each point so they wouldn’t budge for anything in the world.

You can't really tell the tape is there in some spots, but in others you might notice it, haha—though only if you're really picky. My son absolutely loves the way it looks; he's really happy with it… My only worry is that in my eagerness to change the lights all the time, I might end up damaging it. By the way, these lights are 10 meters long—I couldn’t cover the whole room, but they still covered about 70%. They change through many colors, have really pretty effects, and also have an option to sync to the music or movie you’re watching.

Sometimes the best home fixes are born from improvisation. It turned out great, even if it took a lot of tape

There's nothing as peaceful and heart lifting as coming into your home with that feeling of

"Yes, this is the perfect place for me"
Thank you for adding to your son's joy.
