We bought a mini UPS

Como sabrán, llevamos bastante tiempo con problemas eléctricos que con el paso del tiempo se han intensificado de una manera anormal, asi que muchas personas han optado por adquirir aparatos ups para proteger sus equipos y tambien tener un poco de energía en los momentos oscuros, nuestro plan desde hace unos meses ha sido comprar un UPS grande para la computadora pero no ha sido posible, son demasiado costosos… Y bueno, hace unos dias vi un video en Tiktok de estos mini UPS que funcionan para routers y cargar celulares, no es lo que deseábamos pero ayuda un poco al menos a sobrellevar los días sin luz por unas horas mas.

As you may know, we’ve been dealing with power issues for quite some time now, and they’ve gotten abnormally worse over time. So, many people have decided to buy UPS units to protect their equipment and have a little power during blackouts. For the past few months, our plan has been to buy a large UPS for the computer, but it hasn’t been possible—they’re just too expensive… Well, a few days ago I saw a video on TikTok about these mini UPS units that work for routers and charging cell phones. It’s not exactly what we wanted, but it at least helps a little to get through the days without power for a few more hours.

Y siendo sincera mi suegro me ayudo a completar el pago de este equipo, que realmente no está caro pero la situación económica en este momento es bastante grave al menos en nuestra casa. Este mini UPS costo $25 no se decirles las especificaciones exactas porque sinceramente yo no entiendo de estas cosas, mi esposo y suegro si saben y me mostraron como funciona,. De hecho, lo estrené hace poco que se fue la luz y funciono bastante bien.

To be honest, my father-in-law helped me cover the cost of this device, which isn’t really expensive, but our financial situation right now is pretty dire—at least in our household. This mini UPS cost $25. I can’t tell you the exact specs because, honestly, I don’t know anything about this stuff—my husband and father-in-law do, and they showed me how it works. In fact, I used it for the first time recently when the power went out, and it worked pretty well.

Fue bastante extraño tener internet en el celular estando sin luz, sin duda esto nos hubiese ahorrado un gran dolor de cabeza el 3 de enero cuando ocurrió el ataque en Maduro y nos quedamos a oscuras y totalmente incomunicados jajajaa. Mi sueño es poder comprar un UPS grande que pueda mantener viva nuestra pc unas horas, ya que es nuestra fuente de trabajo y a veces cuando se va la luz nos hace la vida muy difícil.

It was pretty strange to have internet on my phone even though the power was out. That definitely would have saved us a huge headache on January 3rd when the attack on Maduro happened and we were left in the dark and completely cut off from the world, hahaha. My dream is to be able to buy a big UPS that can keep our computer running for a few hours, since it’s our source of work and sometimes when the power goes out, it makes life really difficult for us.
