I was thinking about the power of the heart to regenerate after a heartbreak when I did this facepainting. Took me some hours and I enjoyed every minute of doing this.
I call it "My Radioactive Heart" because just like after a nuclear disaster, nature finds the power to regenerate and thrive, even under less good conditions.
I find our inner strenght a constant source of surprise. You never know how far your limits can stretch until you reach them.
After you suffer you are almost radioactive for a while. You are in pain and almost anyone can see that. It radiates. Until you start to heal and to get some strenght, very few will be bold enough to try to reach you. It takes great courage and desire to be with someone while they are also healing. Sometimes the process has to happen in solitude, behind the curtain, far from the eyes of the people.
Our heart is a wonderful machine. It can make us function 24h per day and it is the working partner of our brain. The heart and the mind can help us achieve healing even after the worst battles. We regenerate and grow new roots. We get born again and rise from our ashes.
Never underestimate the power of a person to come out even from the darkest places. As long as there is a flicker of a light, there is always hope. And hope fuels any desire to achieve greatness.

Personally i feel there is no need to be with someone that is healing. The person should actually take time to heal. Nice face painting by the way..
Thank you! I feel the same way too, but sometimes the person might not even know they need to heal or they are in denial. And then it is really not cool to be with someone pretending to be ok when you are not. It is the best to go in relationships after you made peace with the past.
