Graham has stated that any testimony if given by Bolton would be requested to be one in a closed hearing. From what many experts who have weighed in on the subject are concerned about would be the willingness of foreign leaders and intelligence agencies in other countries to share data with the US out of concerns those conversations could go on public display. Another option that has been floated around is having Roberts hear what Bolton has to say then determining whether it's pertinent to the trial before holding a closed door hearing. As long as the jurors hear his testimony if relevant is really the only thing that matters. We all know it won't be five minutes after the door opens that whatever Bolton has to say the democrats will be leaking it to the world, that's really what they want, to make a mockery out of anything Trump touches even if it means embarrassing other world leaders and intelligence agencies to the point they don't want to cooperate with the US anymore.
