  I use www.steem.img to host my images and then I just copy the image link url into my post and check it in the preview panel below to make sure it is displaying correctly. Good luck

  Yes. I discovered it does this if you are writing as HTML, not markdown. I think it is a bug in the HTML editor as it is now. If you use Markdown, try just dropping the link, no tag http
