A nice bed is a nice sleep

If you have known me for a while, you probably have come across my posts about my nightmares or bad dreams and how I'm able to conquer the fear slowly so that I'm no longer afraid of them nightmares and also even be able to sleep in the dark. I don't know about you, but sleep is such a big deal for me now especially I dream like literally every night and remember it - so I get exhausted basically the whole day.

For the longest time, I didn't really care about beds and bed setup since I know I'm just going to spend like 10% of my waking time there anyway. When I'm asleep it's probably not a big deal since I'm asleep anyway hahah so why bother to beautify the bed? That's what I've thought. I realized I was wrong. lol.

My dream bed

I've actually been wanting a nice bed sheet that I like and a thick comforter but been delaying it cos like I said, I feel like it would kinda be a waste. I also thought I'm not permanent here since I'm just renting but still why would I delay things if I can do it now anyway?

So I went and bought some nice bed sheets and a comforter and the first night with it was like heaven. LOL.

I really like the idea of a fluffy blanket wrapping me while I sleep. This isn't a weighted blanket but still is heavier than the normal fleece blanket so it is so much comfy. For someone with anxiety, this helps me so much with my sleep cos it makes me feel safe + it's really just so cozy while having a nice cool room.

The first night with it, I actually had a nice sleep even though I still have chase dreams or some bad dreams overall. I've never really thought it could improve my sleep like a LOT. And with nice bed sheets, I can go to my room and be happy to see it being organized (cos same color and pattern) and it makes me feel good throughout the day.

I also play Zelda nowadays before I sleep, so it's very cozy. I have those lights installed too, I love warm lights whether I'm sleeping or working in the mini office that I have, but I'm not gonna let this stay on while I sleep for safety purposes.

Yeah I'm including unnecessary photos here for fillers. XD

But yeah.

Now I understand how other people have really nice beds and some even pay a shitton of money for it. With low quality beds, it can give you back aches or other muscle aches. The quality ones will give extreme comfort and even though you're asleep, it still affects the experience. They even have different types of pillows but that's something too much information to research now and I'm comfy with my normal pillows so whatever haha.

I also now understand why they make their beds when they wake up, it's really nice to see an organized room and having a messy one will make one lazy (at least that's for me).

Bad side effect tho it makes me want to extend my sleep all the time. :D

What about you? Do you use scented candles or humidifiers with scent? Do you have a special lamp perhaps? Do you use a smart light so you could just clap and the lights will automatically turn off?

Love it ❤❤❤❤

Thanks Judiee!!

Looks so comfy.

A nice bed and sheets should never be compromised. I noticed that whenever I have nightmares, it's because the bed wasn't properly made and the sheets came off. If I sleep on the bare mattress, it affects my sleep so much.

Woah really? Can't believe our bodies can actually feel those and can affect the brain activity during sleep. Amazing. Haha yeah that I can agree with, bare mattress is meh

There's three things not worth saving money on; toilet paper, couch and bed. I used to struggle a whole lot with nightmares as well. To the point where I didn't even bother going to sleep at night. I remember randomly reading somewhere that nightmares occur mostly when you sleep on your back so I started making sure I always slept on my sides or stomach. They stopped pretty much then and then. There's probably some placebo effect in play here but I don't care as long as it works. Interestingly enough though the few times I've had nightmares since I've awoken on my back even though I always fall asleep on my side.

That there looks like the perfect surroundings for some Zelda!

I've also read about that with sleeping on back. Even I get to experience it with sleep paralysis at first but as time went on I still get it with whatever position so I stopped caring haha. Yeah it's psychological for me, but as for the physical effects a good mattress definitely lessened my backaches and saw a difference when I upgraded to a spring one instead of just foam.

I also agree, whatever works on you lol. Happy your nightmares stopped because they suck big time!

Hahah yeah playing Zelda on your bed til you fall asleep, like you mentioned in another comment XD

Hello! love how you decorated your table (previous blog) and now your bed! Is there a community similiar to homebuddies? where we can get ideas on how to decorate our living spaces? 😁

Thank you! No I don't think there is a community for that yet :/ just as far as I know haha. We were actually thinking maybe we could make a Shopeebudol community but I don't have time to maintain it. XD

There's a lot on Pinterest and Youtube for a cozy work desk or bed. Do you want me to link the products in the pics?
