There's three things not worth saving money on; toilet paper, couch and bed. I used to struggle a whole lot with nightmares as well. To the point where I didn't even bother going to sleep at night. I remember randomly reading somewhere that nightmares occur mostly when you sleep on your back so I started making sure I always slept on my sides or stomach. They stopped pretty much then and then. There's probably some placebo effect in play here but I don't care as long as it works. Interestingly enough though the few times I've had nightmares since I've awoken on my back even though I always fall asleep on my side.
That there looks like the perfect surroundings for some Zelda!
I've also read about that with sleeping on back. Even I get to experience it with sleep paralysis at first but as time went on I still get it with whatever position so I stopped caring haha. Yeah it's psychological for me, but as for the physical effects a good mattress definitely lessened my backaches and saw a difference when I upgraded to a spring one instead of just foam.
I also agree, whatever works on you lol. Happy your nightmares stopped because they suck big time!
Hahah yeah playing Zelda on your bed til you fall asleep, like you mentioned in another comment XD
