Whatcha talking bout man? Downvoting or negative curation isn't about courage necessarily (except when there are those that will downvote in revenge or malice).
Have you stopped to think maybe it's about being honesty about rewards. Do you think spam or plagiarism represents a network with value? Of course not!
We downvote for those reasons and more so I don't rightly understand what your issue is. Would you care to explain why you think others are downvoting? Maybe there is a legitimate reason?
If so, think the ones that really need a bit of introspection are yourself and others that are complaining about the feature being used how it was intended.
If you feel there is another reason, by all means, make you case. I don't see such a case being put forth in this post so would you please clarify? Thanks
