Printed media can only move so far, not to mention that people avoid them now that COVID-19 is everywhere. Digital media can move anywhere worldwide at the speed of the Internet, and it cannot spread virus (but I am not talking about computer malware).
I am speaking in the perspective of advertisers. One of the things why corporations really want your #private data is that they can target to you exactly what is relevant to your needs and wants.
Imagine what it would cost them to show you targeted advertising by printing (physically) personalized media which would be relevant to you.
