Today I woke up with a lot of things to do early, so I couldn't go out and wander the streets taking pictures. But after fulfilling my obligations I explored my RAW files belonging to this month of October which ends today (happy Halloween by the way) to make a selection of street photography and share it here with you...
Hoy me desperté con un montón de cosas para hacer temprano, así que no pude salir a deambular por las calles haciendo fotos. Pero después de cumplir con mis obligaciones me dediqué a explorar mis archivos RAW pertenecientes a este mes de octubre el cual culmina hoy (feliz Halloween por cierto) para hacer una selección de fotografías callejeras y compartir esto aquí con ustedes.

As is my habit, for me editing photographs is as much catharsis as taking them. So I chose to select photos whose angle of capture was conducive to cropping in 16:9 format. This is a bit tricky to do when it comes to photos taken without thinking about cropping them in those proportions. But, after a few hours of editing, I got a dozen photos which I found satisfactory for publication.
Como es mi costumbre, para mi editar fotografías es igual catarsis que hacerlas. Así que opté por seleccionar fotos cuyo angulo de captura fuese propicio para recortar en formato 16:9. Esto es un poco complicado de hacer cuando se trata de fotos hechas sin estar pensando en un posterior recorte en esas proporciones. Pero, después de unas cuantas horas editando, obtuve una docena de fotos las cuales me parecieron satisfactorias para publicar.

I have previously made posts with 16:9 cropped photos. It is an interesting type of format, although I use it infrequently as it is always difficult to compose the image (at least for me) when I use it. However, I can't deny that it has a lovely effect on me to look at the photos like this and to have that feeling of being "immersed in the image" which this format usually gives.
Ya he hecho previamente publicaciones con fotos recortadas en 16:9. Es un tipo de formato interesante, aunque lo huso con poca frecuencia pues siempre es difícil componer la imagen (al menos para mi) cuando lo uso. Sin embargo, no puedo negar que surte un efecto encantador en mi el mirar las fotos así y tener esa sensación de estar "inmerso en la imagen" la cual este formato suele brindar.

For these photos I was a bit irreverent and transgressor of standards as far as composition is concerned by the way. I also raised the depth and contrast levels in the photos while using slight touches of grain and noise to generate texture and a sense of anarchy in some of the images. That said, I did it as a catharsis, so I had to edit with certain liberties. After all, as some of you know from following me (thanks a lot for that guys) my parameters for editing photos tend to be intimately linked to my volatile and changeable character...
Para estas fotos fui un poco irreverente y transgresor de standares en cuanto a composición se refiere por cierto. También elevé los niveles de profundidad y contraste en las fotos al mismo tiempo que usé leves toques de grano y ruido para generar textura y cierta sensación de anarquía en algunas imágenes. Lo dicho, lo hice como catarsis, entonces había que editar con ciertas libertades. Después de todos, tal como algunos de ustedes saben por seguirme (muchas gracias por eso chicos) mis parámetros para editar fotos suelen estar íntimamente ligados a mi volátil y cambiante carácter...

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.

¿Se celebra Halloween allí?
Muchas gracias por apreciar amiga @nanixxx!!!... Aquí Halloween lo celebran de forma muy comedida las generaciones nuevas. Me refiero a chicos desde los 25 para abajo. Inclusive hay algunas fiestas en casa y clubes del pueblo, pero no es algo tan marcado como las celebraciones en las ciudades más grandes en donde sí se celebra con más alboroto producto, me imagino, de una influencia foránea más marcada... Por ejemplo, mi hija de 25 años sí se disfrazó y casi me mata antenoche cuando me paré para ir al baño y me pasó por el corredor vestida de negro cerrado y con la cara blanca. Afortunadamente la reconocí casi de inmediato, pero eso no me privó de decirle un par de madrazos y después echarle la bendición (a veces en la casa parecemos estar en uno de esos reality shows de TV)... Mi madre celebra Halloween a su manera, ella es "la ultima representante de la santa inquisición católica" en América del sur, pero como ya no la dejan "quemar personas vivas para salvar su alma" entonces se limita a poner en sus estados de whatsapp la 1001 maneras en las que el demonio ha entrado en los hogares gracias a las calabazas con ojos y velas dentro... Y también se los recalca personalmente a propios y extraños que osen visitarle en estas fechas... je je je :))
De todos modos, nuestro gobierno nos tiene celebrando Halloween desde hace años a punta de carencias económicas, apagones, falta de agua potable, falta de combustible, carreteras malas y otros "detallitos sublimes" los cuales tardaría horas enumerando... je je je :))

Ha ha ha :))... Yes!... He appeared running quickly on that lonely street while I was taking a photo. I was worried about was going to come and bite me, but just passed by and kept running until was lost in the distance... That was all a little crazy!... :)

Haaa haaa haaa :)) Yes, it has already happened here, sometimes some slightly drunk boy on a motorcycle has crashed at night against one of those "improvised signs", fortunately it has never gone beyond a couple of broken bones and a few scrapes (it's a little crazy town, I know) :)
