Chimney Dog Christmas 2021 Letter:
2021-12-28 - Tuesday - 04:30 PM PST LMS JA.
Around this time today, when I checked the mailed, I received this letter from my dad, Donald Melvin Rasp Arnold to me, Oatmeal Joey Arnold, AKA Joe Cool, AKA Joseph Scott Arnold. It came with a $50 check. There were three items in total, a red envelope, inside was a check and a card. I scanned all three items, one photo for the envelope, two for the check, and four photo scans of the card. I've included all seven scans here.
The check was dated 2021-12-15 - Wednesday. I decided to simply date the letter and all seven scans to be from this day, it is a good approximate date of when the letter was mailed out.

Dad wrote in blue ink, "Love Dad." Robin added in black ink, "& Robin, heart emoticon." On photo 3 of the card, dad added, "Hey there Joe! Raining big time in Forest Grove. Hope everything is doing good." Robin added, "Merry Christmas and a happy New Years."
This was the last page of the card.

That concludes all seven photo scans I made of all three items I got from my dad for Christmas 2021. It was a good card. Thank you for all of that. I do appreciate it. I found it to be funny to be saying it is raining big time. That is something my dad would say big time and in a heart beat. The cartoon dog is funny. The money is good. Oh, no snow. That's too bad. Rain instead. But rain is ok. And snow can be hard to deal with sometimes. We got snow up here near Seattle.

Mom was looking by my door at things I hung up like a USB video game computer controller. She started trying to imagine what kind of things from her childhood she would have. She said she had her own silly putty which is like soft moldable clay or Play-Doh! She mentioned a space man like spon thing for cereal. I am not exactly sure what that is. I forget now what she called it. There was a third item she mentioned that I forget at the moment. Mom was born in 1951 and she didn't say how old she was when she had some of these items. Some of these items were not hers exclusively. Third item might have been a sling slot. No. Not that.

Your point has been that people should not link them. My point would simply be that people link them. I'm not saying they should or should not. I'm simply putting it out there. People are affected by perception even if it's faulty. Those perceptions has impact on culture which influences how people choose to live within their take, right or wrong, on morality, be it subjective or objective or variations therein, or lack thereof to various degrees. So, it goes back to the debate of what paganism means or what it may not mean.

I'm not going to say I know how old the earth is. With that, I'm also not going to say that I know how many thousands of years the Egyptian empire of kings or Pharaohs lasted. Some people believe in a gap theory between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 that the earth became void, empty, that it was chaotic. They say fallen angels were living on earth for millions of years. In order to prove a crazy theory like that, we would need to dig up a bunch of evidence. I like to be insanely open minded about everything. There is so much I don't know about Egypt.
Adam and Eve were probably the first humans on earth back eight thousand years ago or probably less than that. King David was probably around 1,000 BC. The space between Adam and David is probably less than 4,000 years. I'm being extremely generous with the time allotment I'm giving to these things. Some people believe the earth and the universe are billions of years old. I'm not going to say they're wrong. But then again, a long time ago, the sun what have been a lot larger. So, that could cause problems. But maybe if there were no humans at first, I guess it wouldn't be a problem. But too much of that is excessive speculation.
I believe Christ was born around 4 BC. It's not because H.G. Wells said it. He is not the only person to say it. And the reasoning is based on translating from our current calendar system to the ones they had at that time. To assume Christ was born on 1 B.C. or 1 A.D. or whatever the case might be, you would have to assume they were able to correctly count backwards to the exact date he was born. And it is possible to do so but it depends on whether anything was lost in translation. It depends on when they started dating things based on when Christ was born. It depends on a number of things.
The relevance of which year Christ was born is in pinpointing which month he was born. People who study stars have developed star calendars that goes backwards and forward in time. So, you would simply need to look at their star maps or calendars to see which years had a bunch planets coming together in the sky. These things are pretty predictable.
They have a new series based on The Da Vinci Code. So, I was watching that show. I do find those things interesting.
Yeah, Zeitguiest sounds like a lousy excuse to draw people away from Christ. It reminds me of the documentaries and such that try to emphasize on how Jesus was just a man.
I agree with you in regards to how people can have limited perspective when looking through the lens of the English literature over the centuries. Well, that reminds me of some of the books not included in the Bible and it makes me wonder why Enoch and other books were excluded from the 66-book canon.

Well, it depends on what Pagan means.

In the Old Testament, God would tell Israel not to do some of the things other nations were doing including shaving heads. God was telling them not to look or act like them.
Some people may believe that Christians shouldn't do things that Pagans did or that non-Christians did or fill in the blank. My personal belief is that it depends. I'm not going to say you can't drink coffee because Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Satan, Darth Vader, the cookie monster, vampires, Bill Gates, Fauci, Obama, Biden, etc, drank coffee.
But some people believe in trying not to wear what bad people wear. Well, not sure if bad is the right word. But whether we call it paganism or Hedonism or simply the Gentiles or whatever the case might be, people believe in not associating themselves with it. I understand where they are coming from.
The Bible may say things like don't get tattoos, earrings, piercings, etc. And I'm not going to tell people they can't get tattoos. I would agree the Bible probably told them not to do it. Now, does that mean we should not? Well, that is a good question. But I only bring that up to say that may be what is in the mind of some people. I'm not going to say they're right but I am going to say that is where they are coming from. They believe evergreen trees were used in pagan worship, rituals, etc.
An analogy might be a simple cup. So, if Hitler drank from a cup, does that mean I should not drink from a cup? Likewise, perhaps some trees were used in the past for paganism. Does that mean we can never use trees?
But some people believe, oddly enough, that they should keep trees from living inside their homes because of that.
I'm not saying they're right. I'm just saying that is where they're coming from.
The Bible also talks about meat offered up to idols. It says if you don't like that, then don't eat meat which was offered up to those gods. But if you don't care, then it's not a sin.
Perhaps the trees were offered up to Odin or Zeus or Ra or other gods. But perhaps it is not bad to have trees in houses.
I personally don't mind having trees in houses.
Like, I don't care. I celebrate Christmas. I don't personally think it's pagan.
But for the sake of argument, it depends.
Does that mean you are Catholic? It seems you don't believe in Eternal Security. Do you believe you have to work very hard to earn your salvation?
I like consumerism.
You mentioned a few things about the history of different religions and cults. On top of that, denominations, sects, etc. I used to study world religions and church history in Bible colleges going back to 2004. I can tell you that Catholicism came up later on. I can talk all day about this. They try to say they were always around. On top of that, the Pope, the Vatican City, their legion of thugs, for many centuries, these guys would run around the world burning books and other things. They would also confiscate millions of books, etc, over the years and hide them underneath the Vatican City. It's insane how much history they've been suppressing.

How can you help me with REP?
I know I can do a few tags, hashtags, which helps like informationwar and deepdives and I forget the one with the word peach in it. But those are usually the communities or tags I would use. So, I know how to use those tags.
And it might be that the upvotes might overcome the downvotes. I was just not always using those tags because I wanted to branch out and use other tags. I also didn't want to be the kind of person who is only using a certain set of tags.
But since I know I get downvotes, I think I'm going to try to use more tags which might help compensate for the downvotes.
My home is on Hive Blog but I still post to Steemit and I still believe Steem still has some value in it.

I've been writing since at least 2018 that globalists would back down but then come back with a vengeance many years later. And they may back down before 2025.

I didn't have egg nog for Christmas, but I love that stuff. Daily Oatmeal Post. Welcome to the Oatmeal Daily with your host, Oatmeal Joey Arnold. Dear diary journal blog, I got up at 10:45 AM. Weird dream about like watching and making YouTube videos for a contest. Maybe not making. Well, not sure exactly. But I kind of knew it was a dream but was trying to go through a bunch of videos. Not sure who's videos. The end. Vacuum came apart. Breakfast, 11:13 AM. Groceries came around 11:00 AM or before 11:15 AM whil I was vacuuming around that time. I got the vacuum back together. It made noises. Dumped it and then it was back to normal. Helped mom open Oxi Clean and take it over to the washer and dryer. Stuff behind it by water heater. Snow outside. Nap around 12:10 PM for a few minutes. Dishes a few times and again, 06:30 PM or so to 07:00 PM.
Food log: Breakfast: banana, apple, coffee, 11:13 AM.
Lunch: meat leaf salad, 01:00 PM.
Dinner: corn, meat, 07:13 PM.

PeakD did this too but not any more last time I checked. Also, Hive Blog does not do it either. Currently, I'm only seeing Ecency change PeakD and Hive Blog links into Ecency links. Think of it like a website that is under construction. But a really big website. I literally include links to future articles and much more, to be continued as always. But you can also try swapping out the domain name part of the link with a different one. For example, the domain I'm currently focused on (as of 2020) is Hive . blog. That is not case-sensitive meaning it can be hIVe . blog or HivE . BLoG. In other words, it doesn't matter which letters are capitalized (uppercase) or not (lowercase). Also, the domain has no spaces in it, meaning hive . blog becomes hive.blog. Depending on the website, following the domain can be the username. So, in this case, it's forward-slash at (@) username. My username is joeyarnoldvn. Some websites skips that at symbol part (generally if they're not a blockchain-style site, they skip the at symbol part in the URL) and goes directly to the username. Some websites may include the web-page section of the link first followed by the domain name. With Hive Blog, it begins with Hive.blog, it follows with the username, and then it ends with the web-page link or section which is generated based off the title of the post. So, if my link doesn't work, try swapping out hive.blog for example peakd . com or ecency . com or steemit . com or you can try other domain names and websites and pages and URLs and sites and links and hyperlinks and everything and anything else you can imagine too, as well. You can also try googling or searching via Duck Duck Go, Bing, Yandex, Yahoo, Google, other search engines, the title of the post in quotation marks, add a space followed with a plus-sign (+), add another space followed with my username in quotation marks. If that doesn't work, you can remove the quotation marks and try other keywords and combinations therein. Be creative and try many different search engines and different domain names. Also, feel free to host, mirror, copy, paste, download, steal, share, etc, any of my posts, videos, photos, memes, articles, links, anything that I publish, post, share, upload, etc. LEARNING ENGLISH IN SAIGON.
