As long as the smell is pleasant you&#039;re doing well. If it isn&#039;t smelling fruit or vinegar-like (it could start to smell like fungus or rot), then you should take out some water and fruit, and add some fresh water and fruit.<br /> <br /> - At some point it will start to fizz and you can drink it as cider if you wish, it is delicious.
