Hello my dear Readers,
We have not posted here for last two years but today we wanted to share this post that will help to raise awareness of users to Identity Fraud that recently we came across on Steemit and on Hive.
But slowly both Blockchains by now have many new users who do not know the past and some of them even do not know that abusers can create same usernames and copy their blogs pretending to be the real users because the temptation is high for abusers to enrich themselves using good name and reputation of real users and earn with that, pretending to be original user.
This is the First user @ninoskagsoto, she is from Venezuela and joined in February 2021, she is very active and creating beautiful posts, she is herself very pretty and posts about make-up, her friends and also she is very good in drawing that is why we were supporting her with our Visual Art account.
Once when I noticed that she is posting on Hive too, of course, I was unable to nominate for @booming support and seeing Hive account she got quite good payout there too. I thought, well, it is free to decide for everyone if she wants she can post there.
Few days ago I noticed this comment under her post:
Of course, then I wrote to and got this answer:
But luckily looks like now the user is himself realized that he is revealed and deleted the whole stolen posts, therefore, I am glad for @ninoskagsoto
Another user has created initial account on Hive in October 2021
The Steemit account of Steemit @barnabo73 it was hacked and the abuser started to use the account pretending to be @barnabo73.
The original user @barnabo73 then had to create another account with a little different username @barnabo-73 and notified "World of Xpilar" community that the abuser is pretending to be him and using his posts.

Therefore, it was quite quick that we revealed and stopped the abuser
This is the very recent case of another Visual Art creator on Steemit who we are supporting with @art-venture, he is very talented Artist from Nigeria
The same story, recently we noticed that the user is also posting in Hive but he is using #steemexclusive tag therefore, just wanted to mention to use the tag correctly
Hearing that I have written another comment to this user and that made me now to do the post and show people how easy to become a Victim of Fake Account abusers:
This is a Fake account on HIVE, you can see that it was created in February 2022, when the original was created in July 2021:
We went through the whole blogs of both, the user on Steemit had been actively taken part in different activities and Communities like Newcomer, Promo Steem, WOX, so account is alive and interacting.
Unlike the account on Hive that is just copying and pasting and the answers are only:"Thank you"
When you compare the Introduction post of the Original user on Steemit, because it was done with the name written on the piece of paper and also has blue touch, look how it looks:

After I have sent this post I came across another very suspicious account that presented a beautiful girl with once again wonderful posts, but if she was very communicable on HIve with comprehensive answers, the account on Steemit did not write any replies. Therefore, I got in touch ion Hive and here is the answer I received pretty quickly:
I am pretty sure we will be seeing this phenomenon more and more around. I only can say, if you do not have account on one of the blockchain just create one and book your username so that nobody else can use it and pretend you.
When curating the posts please be active Curator, that means not only look or read and give Upvote, but:
Study the post, see who is the user and what he is posting. Drop him message and see if he will respond
If you have suspicion about possible Fake account that is cloned please DON'T LOOK AWAY, NEXT TIME IT COULD BE YOUR ACCOUNT THAT IS ABUSED!
Make sure you are checking both Steemit and Hive blogs as some of the users are already revealed as Fake and blacklisted

Thank you too for commenting. I think it should be cross chains because we need to make those people to stop abusing the system and stealing the property of others.

thanks for your alert, how it is possible? cuz this people have a account in steemet or Hive, so some body used their names? or are the keys stolen?
Yes, the cheater use the fact that some of the users have account only on one of the platform and create a clone also copying the whole posts, as often the users if they use only one platform then they do not have account on other and of course they do not check the other one. The accounts are not necessarily needed to be hacked or passwords stolen.
Thank you so much for letting us know. I have no idea until you notify my friend @trangbaby. It is so disgusting this behaviour. I believe there are more fake accounts out there that real owners are unaware of so really appreciate your help. It is quite sad that we are trying to build a better community, we encourage each other to post our own content and we take plagiarism seriourly but out there some bad people just don't care and taking advantage of us.
Hi @dora381 it was nice to see your blog here and really enjoyed reading the posts from both yourself and @trangbaby, I am glad that we identified that the both users on Steemit are fake. It is indeed sad but we will try to cross check in the future the posts in our Community to catch such users early.
That's what life is all about, right? Good and bad come along side by side, but the most important thing is that we don't stop doing what we truly love and care for. Once again, thank you so much and have a lovely Tuesday.
