ACEH is one of the areas in the archipelago that has a strong culinary tradition. Similarly in terms of snacks or snacks.

  1. Keukarah (Bird's nest cake)

    One of the traditional snacks typical of Aceh that still survive until now is keukarah or kue karah. Dried cake that has a sweet and crispy taste to be a fitting friend while relaxing while enjoying a cup of coffee typical of Tanah Rencong. Now, the cake is getting rare.     Meuseukat is a typical culinary aceh intended to welcome an exalted guest. Meuseukat is only presented on certain occasions. Usually at a celebration event or big day when the home owner will receive guests.

Meuseukat has a form like dodol with soft texture and has a sweet taste and a bit sour because it uses juice of lime juice and pineapple therefore some people call it "pineapple dodol" typical aceh.

Kue Timpan is one of the traditional cakes originating from Aceh. This one cake includes a type of wet cake made from basic ingredients of sticky rice and plantain. In it there are usually various variants of content such as grated coconut or srikaya. Kue Timpan is one of the traditional food that is quite famous in Aceh, and is often presented as the main menu during the holidays.
One of the uniqueness of Kueh Timpan is the material made from a mixture of sticky rice and banana. The combination of these two ingredients will certainly produce a unique blend of flavors and very distinctive. Also supported by the contents bakh made from grated coconut or srikaya certainly make this one more food feels special.
