Beggary a "Social Problem and Social evil "
Beggary is a major problem which is today affecting large population of India. My city is not different. There are large number of beggars in chandigarh who are forced in to doing begging because our societies fails in providing any good alternative to them. For the last few centuries India has suffered acute poverty. From the ancient times, the main cause of poverty was various taxes. Poverty, disability and unemployment is the problem of beggary which is a social problem.kids age of 3-4 years are roaming in city just to beg . they even dont have shoes to wear. they roam in city barefoot . how can we allow these things to prevail . Govt dont have funds to help these people . so we have to take matter in our own hands as a society we have to think about it .
The other issue is slightly more serious where large numbers of beggars are in begging for earning easy money. The major issues with this beggary problem are non awareness about this whole business, society’s failure, no humanitarian solutions and failure of government in stopping beggary because of which large number of children deprived from right to education & childhood. Indian government never tried to rectify the faulty system by repealing anti-poverty or beggary laws. In fact, poor women, children and elderly people need help from the government to obtain food and shelter.
Our organization is trying to bring these beggars to main stream. we are planning to educate these kids. Main reason they beg is their parents don't have work. They want additional money to meet days need. We are planning to give two times of meal to these families so that they stop sending these kids for begging .at least we can Start from it . Second are medical problems. All of these families don't have any money to treatment. We are also planning for medical services to these. I personally gets heart broken every time i see these kids coming and begging . will do everything in power to change this.
any funds we get are used for these people .
