This is the general slogan for Rookies not just slogan but a norm. For some of us who had gotten some fair chances from Steemit- We were lucky because we had something big that rewards us all for the wasted years on several social media site.
Then you need sonething you are very good at and do it relentlessly whether you get a very unfriendly reward or a handsome one.
Never Complain when you don't get those expected reward because you have been doing so for a many years without a dime before "Steemit Found us all."
There are times you get rewards that beats your imaginations and there are times you get far less what you expecting, either ways it is a Win-Win!
Could you possibly work for Steemit without been employed?
For many that Steemit haf made smile, this for us all; Have you considered doing something for Steemit in return after those Big and Tiny supports?
Now this is where it gets Trickishly interesting as some are waiting to make millions before reaching out to others, another group of users are waiting for whales to locate them before they can think of something Fantastic to do for the community and their immidiate neighbours in their respective countries.
Working for Steemit does not neccessarily mean giving all your resources out or going Bankrupt doing so and then you start soliciting for funds, NO!
Things you could do for Steemit:
You could bring more people on Steemit and encourage them in their first few months so they don't run off.
Fund some projects.
Reach out to the poor and the needy in your countries.
Talk to an investor and try bring them to invest in Steem, i have tried that and will continue to try.
Help a community in need of relief e.g in cases if floods, Hurricane and Earthquakes.
Donate to a worthy cause.
Encourage and support those organising projects for Steemit.
Help newbies, tutor and guide them.
You could give tokens to encourage them.
To start mentioning names if people working for steemit will be colossal and endless, but we all can take a look around in different community on Steemit; see what's going on and key in.
If you are an African/Nigerian and you reading this then you might want to key into:
The STACH Project.
Redfishpillar Project.
Project 1 Million Nigerians on Steemit.
Steem-charity contact any of @ehiboss @gloglo @illuminatus etc for this they have an Official name.

for now i try to do as much as possible for this community :) I got so motivated, through steemit, i nearly finished my first big project i just started because of this great community! I can't give much in a financial way, but i put a lot of effort in my posts :)
It would mean so much to me, to hear your honest opinion on it and my art i created for it :) have a nice time here on steemit :) you got a new follower aswell

I'm working on the first point. I and some friends are trying to get people to go back to their steemit accounts that they abandoned and to get more people to sign up too

I am proud to say, i have been of help when it comes to newbies, i have brought people here, it gives me joy that some people are going to be financially independent because i introduced them here. In Euronation i am teaching newbies also. I am glad i will be putting smiles on people's faces very soon, All thanks to Steemit.
