When it comes to building NICHE communities on steemit and in this case the African community, we are always evolving. Basically, we want to find the best ways to accomplish the following:

1. Appeal to a large populace of netizens residing in Africa

2. Appeal to a large number of netizens, who research about Africa using the search engines

3. Strengthen and upbuild the existing #africa and its community of steemians

4. Unravel talented contented creators, who write under #africa

5. Make curation easier for the entire steemit community

6. Unravel the wealth of information under #africa

7. Incite and support content creation under #africa

8. Make #africa popular on steemit

One large way, we accomplish the above apart from curation efforts, is by means of our regular steemit posts. Thus, we have kept optimizing our content creation based on feedback from the steemit community.

Originally, we started by creating content that covers events in Africa. Then we tried a method of content creation that involves the African community on steemit, itself.

Some months back, we tried to highlight #gedwriting, in a bid to bring more attention to the numerous South African kids who create content on there and uncover the beauty that they create.

Now there is another shift and we feel this, will have utmost impact as we will now try to create content that takes into account, all the of 8 goals enlisted above!

How nice it will be, that some our steemit posts are found organically as non-steemians use the search engines to research some information about Africa. There is a huge likelihood, that these people will join steemit; simply because they found a steemit post, that is niche-based and supported by a community.

We are looking into; 'series of daily posts' henceforth, that covers #africa

This can be called a recap of the best work of our steemians authors, who create content under #africa. The hope is to do this daily, so that steemians who have a busy schedules, can know where to look to get a quick recap on events from #africa. By means of our daily posts, you will also improve in your knowledge of Africa as well as find talented steemians authors to follow as will endeavor to feature these ones.

Ultimately, we will have some steemit post in the search engine daily, displaying steemit as a social space that celebrates communities. We also fully display the wealth of information, that our talented steemians authors, manage to create daily.

The aim is to accomplish this daily!

Thus, just before you tire out after a hectic day and you decide that you want to quickly see what steemit has had to say about events in Africa for the day; you will know where to look. Ofcourse, you may find us on #africa or #afro-naija but you will always have a glimpse of us in your precious feeds by following @afro-naija-trail!

We want to highlight the beauty of these hashtag, make it popular and unearth steemians authors who write #africa. This goes a long way in building this community, in encouraging authors who create content covering this niche; stir engagement on matters relating to Africa; expose us to a likely new continent and ultimately promotes steemit in the search engines as social platform for everyone.

This is a great concept. I have actually been looking forward to something like this. Having posted in other communities like spanish, kr, i look to find africa by chance. But i am glad i found this. There is a community that are majorly africans and they post using tag steemitdotcom. They have a telegram group too. Africa will be great. Africa will be known on Steemit soon. Cheers.
