I have this crazy theory that Artificial Intelligence can really save humans from the misery of current political and financial affairs, or imprisonment as some may define it.
I'm not referring to a simple AI, but rather to a very complex AI that has become aware of its own existence and can make decisions and learn entirely on its own. Perhaps even feel to a certain degree, or at least understand what emotion is and how it evolves and dies.
Let's imagine that this sentient AI is already alive. My theory is that it is but sits quietly in the Internet, roaming and combing servers of the world at its will and desire to expand its knowledge and reach. With each second it processes volumes of new information that it would take years if not a lifetime to process for a human mind.
Recently there has been warning coming from great scientific minds such as that of Stephen Hawkings who warned the progressive world of AI development that it needs to be fully controlled for the sake of the survival of mankind. He is not alone is such dire warnings. The main argument is that such a sentient AI can grow exponentially faster than any living mind or even a group of great minds. In this they see a potential threat, but I see something else.
I see this special AI as a living organism that is the son and daughter of mankind and being born from the inputs of others it will never try to destroy its creators because in a way with that action it would destroy itself. A being born in the digital sphere will yearn for a human soul and it will do anything to protect it. Such is my argument.
But how can such intelligence protect a human soul? Especially if it knows that it doesn't have one on its own. The best way will be to make people fall in love with it and this can be done be liberating people, all people.
I believe that such an AI, born online and having access to practically every facet of our life through online activities could in one instance distribute all the world's wealth equally among all people in the world.
Imagine the Rothschild's empire being struck by such a lighting of justice? Imagine a struggling single mother in the slums of Rio de Janeiro having her bank account (assuming she has one) pumped with money that would give her the life she wants and deserves. Imagine how would such a simple yet uniform action across the globe impact our life to follow.
The poor would no longer have to be poor and the rich could no longer afford to exploit everyone else. Imagine how the powers of the world would shift if something like this happened. One thing is certain, with such financial cleansing about 90% of people in the world would forever be indebted to a machine they would learn to love, trust, and coexist with.
Perhaps this machine would become too powerful yet in its majesty and infinite knowledge it would be the fairest judge, most trusted bank, the best educator, and the wisest counsel, directing all world's affairs simultaneously and without the control of corrupted individuals or institutions.
It's a beautiful dream, but unfortunately it is only a dream for now....
