ALepy is a new Blockchain powered social media platform which rewards users for uploading, viewing and interacting with content.
ALepy mimics Steemit excerpt that the nature of its operation leave one important question; is ALepy a Steemit competitor or a scam.
The project was announced on 7th of September 2017 in a Medium blog which was rather too short. The motto is;
Turing fun to fund.
What is Alepy?
The Pre ICO is live and this could be a scam
Despite the fact that the ALepy project was launched just days ago, the pre ICO is already live and will be ending in 28 days time from today. Tokens allowed are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, ZCash, Waves and Dash.
This hurry to raise funds from a PRE-ICO without any verifiable team, product blueprint or reputable media coverage makes us suspect it could be a scam.
The project was launched today and the ICO is already live. Even on the official announcement post, there are 2 typing errors of wrong placement of punctuation marks - something not typical of professional work.
This is the rather short announcement post, would you believe this quote is the entire post?

Our review of ALepy - SCAM ALERT!
ALepy is a great idea and a copycat of Steemit. However there is much to be looked out for as it looks like a scam:
- there is no report of it on any news major news site
- the ICO was launched withing days of the project being launched
- there is no record of the location of the project
- there is no identification for the team behind it

Why not, when steemit was new also some people may said its too good to be true, but some people are earning good money here, I hope that is will work well, I am looking for something better than steemit, because I am tired from it.
There is also perity or something like that and sphere also, I am waiting for them to start, I am sure if steemit will not change, we will have better social networks.
@blockrush I really liked your post but I wonder if this alepy is actually a scam.Because I'm quite active on BTC talk and everyone seems like supporting them. The post you mentioned on Medium is also seems like it's not their own post. Someone posted to gain maybe some reach on his blog.
I'm not supporting the platform but I can see that it can't be considered as spam as the idea is well presented and supported by demo platform and mobile app.
So let's see where it goes I'm investing in it for sure.

yes you are right, but the new demo site and apps were added recently. at the time this post was published there was nothing at all
