"Every time someone sees a problem and decides to vote it away, they are empowering the violence of the state, they are literally begging for its existence."

Well said. I believe that if we could get a large enough portion of the population to understand this simple fact, everything will change very swiftly.

NOT VOTING in the corrupt electoral process is the single biggest act of rebellion and defiance!

But I'm very skeptical we'll ever get there! Why? Because so many people and industry is dependent on government handouts at this point!

Very good points, I appreciate the theme of compassion and understanding in your work, it really is the path to peace and abundance in this world.

As far as the law of attraction goes, it is an interesting thing, I think it exists but is also very misunderstood, humans have a very rudementary perspective on what that entails.

I also believe that our own actions, as well as the actions of others that we share this cosmic space with, those things have impact on the future that plays out as well, there are many facts to consider.

People like you and Derrick inspire me to go vegan, I am not there yet, and as Derrick knows this is due to an eating disorder ive been struggling with my whole life, but the approach you guys take on the issue makes me want to live better....the vegans who shame me do not usually get those results lol

Thanks for this, Kenny! Every bit counts. I especially like how you promote humility in the section that uses vegans and anarchists as an example. And thanks for linking to some of my articles on Empathy/Nonviolent Communication!

Thanks Scott!

It is certainly quite an important factor to remain humble in everything we do/say... and think honestly haha.

Always happy to do some cross-pollination :-)

I really appreciate your honest self reflection here, I think the best teaching comes from student teachers, those who share their journey as they evolve. One thing that gets way out of balance in some of my unschool circles is compassion and responsibility. Some unschoolers are super compassionate, but fail to teach their children about taking honest responsibility for themselves and the impact they have on others. This is not a stereotype of unschoolers, but definitely a small trend. Even things like the type of food they eat or how much technology they use, responsibility isn't always taught. They are encouraged to do whatever they want, and are not taught that red 40 and HFCS are actually toxic poisons. Its a beef I have with many single issue movements, they are taken to an extreme and become out of balance.... Anyway, I have been a vegetarian since 2003. I eat eggs and honey so I am not a "vegan". I started eating fish last year after my body began to crave it. In college people would get MAD at me for being a vegetarian. They would get in my face and yell at me at parties. I learned very quickly that my eating habits are no one's business but mine, unless they ask, and I share my reasons calmly like you stated above. I appreciated reading this and I appreciate you!

How many you give to the world, that many you receive back. Be kind to the universe, that's a common law and simple rule to be happy :)

Fantastic article @kennyskitchen. Would highly recommend looking into the works of Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov - a true spiritual master who practiced what he preached.

Awesome, thank you! I'll check him(?) out!

Oh yes, he's a he. His books are outstanding.

This is beautiful! I love it that you recenter yourself and get back to basics when things are not aligning with your vision. Keep up the good work!

This is a whole full book in one post. Wow
Hmmmm... We keep learning everyday. The day any man stops learning, he'll sure start dying
