"Divide and Conquer'-

“Millions of people never analyze themselves. Mentally they are mechanical products of the factory of their environment, preoccupied with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, working and sleeping, and going here and there to be entertained. They don’t know what or why they are seeking, nor why they never realize complete happiness and lasting satisfaction. By evading self-analysis, people go on being robots, conditioned by their environment. True self-analysis is the greatest art of progress.” ~ Paramahansa Yogananda.

I'm actually upset at how divided humanity has become. I know most people are pretty much gone now, their souls have been taken. Just deep down somewhere I know we are a human family that can live together in peace and unison, and we have just bought all into the 'divide and rule' deception.

People are marching for anything right now Tommy Robinson, transgender rights, feminism, the list goes on. The issue is most people are just using most of these so- called 'causes' to funnel their own self- loathing, hate, and anger into something.

Most of these people don't actually really care about this stuff, most are angry and don't even know where it's coming from when in reality its their own broken childhoods and a system that has them grinding to the bone their entire lives. That's why there will be no peace outside until people start taking responsibilty and sorting their inner worlds out.

Let hope we wake up to this before its too late.

Have a great week ahead.

I think this is a really good post, and points up the plight in which a majority of people in the western world find themselves.

Who was it who said: "Life has to be lived forwards, but it can only be understood backwards"? People who never begin the inner journey are stumped because they don't know where that journey "should" take them. So they never start. So there's nothing to look back on. So they never start. It's a vicious circle.

Meanwhile, there's always some fresh distraction being manufactured for them, giving the illusion of development (fashion, new TV shows, movie sequels, food fads, and so on).

Perhaps (and this is an awful thought) most people don't want to take the first step, because they are afraid of the emptiness within. When someone believes that they are defined as an "economic unit," that emptiness cannot be understood, let alone filled, because its contents cannot be material goods.

You are now my first Steemit "follow", Tony, and I look forwards to reading more of your thoughts.

I do notice there is a strong division in our modern society, but I wonder if the past was any different?

Because perhaps we have always been like that, but are just realizing it now.

Don't you think?

Absolutely, we are starting to notice it but not in enough numbers sadly!

Division is the easiest method of control for the string-pullers. It's a relatively hands-off procedure where the population polices themselves through in-fighting.

Absolutely Colin people are being played and don't even realise it!

Way t’ be, T. How about channelling that indignation toward the topic that matters more than all others combined - how nearly every fucking person in the world continues to condone and support abject slavery! Everything else is picking the lettuce out of a shit sandwich. Good Lord, it’s a dystopian fucking nightmare.
