In the same order of ideas, we will describe different behaviors of animals at the moment of their copulation and therefore sexual reproduction:
Male gorillas reach sexual maturity between 11 and 13 years, while the female reaches maturity between 10 and 12 years. At the age of 6 years the gorilla produces its first eggs, followed by an infertile adolescence (2 years), its pregnancy is 8 months and then a prudential period of up to 4 years without having a nine baby.
Courtship to mate:
When the time to mate arrives, the female gorilla will move her lips and make faces that are characteristic of the sexual desire she feels for the male, if she does not receive the attention due to the animal, her courtship will be much more "aggressive" looking him in the eyes and hitting the ground until it completely catches your attention. The female can become selective, in terms of her sexual partner, however she can have several couples having adult males as preferences.
Dolphins reach their sexual maturity at age 11, however their sexual life begins long before this happens; becoming both the female and the male promiscuous. It is the only animal that comes to copulate the female for pleasure, reaching in some cases to perform several copulations for 1 hour to the same female and integrating to her "game" several females of the herd.
If the female is in heat after being fertilized by the male, her gestation period will be 10 to 12 months, during which time she will be protected by others of the same species and at the time of delivery will be attended by another female.
Courtship to mate:
This cetacean, like other animals, performs a procession to conquer his female and thus convince her for the next step; between his "infatuation" or behavior we can observe "pirouettes", jumps and games that consist in "giving" to the female objects. If this procession becomes successful, the female will emit a characteristic sound (nasal air whistles) thus giving the message of acceptance for the later copulation and reproduction of said species.
The amphibian turtles reach their sexual maturity at the age of 5 years, getting to mate with the male after a respective courtship and after such fertilization will keep the eggs for 2 months inside. After said time, they will be placed on the beach in holes that the male will make and which will later be covered with sand by the female, for their subsequent incubation that will last from 8 to 9 months and then leave the breeding.
Courtship to mate:
The courtship of the male begins with a swim dance performed in front and around the female, trying to caress her face with her legs and brush the shells. If the female is not cooperative and receptive with this procession, he will sink her to the depth trying not to breathe and cooperate with the copulation, thus achieving copulation.
The sexual maturity of the rabbit is observed at 6 months in the male and at 5 months in the female, when they get to mate and the female becomes pregnant, their gestation will last for 31 days, being back in heat in a short time.
Courtship to mate:
When the female is in heat, the male will begin to rub his trunk to her body, as if making caresses, this with the intention of smelling it and making sure of his zeal. After being sure he will smell his genitals, run around until he manages to mount her and after ejaculating he will fall backwards as if he fainted, staying a few seconds lying on the floor.
The cat reaches a sexual maturity at 6 months, although pregnant cats have been discovered at 5 months, their eggs are produced induced in their body when the male does his riding and does various things during the act of copulation . They are promiscuous animals and the females get to have several jealousies during the year, having a gestation time of 53 to 60 days.
Courtship to mate:
The courtship of this animal is quite painful and aggressive, since the male when encountering the female in heat bites his neck and proceeds to mount it, this sexual act being very painful for both; since the cat's penis is provided with a physical characteristic (anchor form) that makes copulation painful for both.
We can see that the sexuality and reproduction of animals will be marked by the species to which they belong. It is very important that this physiological function exists and is carried out, thus ensuring the multiplication of each animal species.
